UCW Meltdown – February 13 – Wednesday Night Action Zone

As the opening strains of Guns’ N’ Roses’ Welcome to the Jungle blast from the screen, we are shown brief highlights from last weeks edition of UCW Meltdown. Cornette came to the ring to offer Sting the contract to face Angle for the UCW Title, but when Sting was nowhere to be see or found, the Undertaker then came to the ring, quickly followed by Abyss and as the crowd seemed eager to see these two collide, Randy Orton interrupted prompting Cornette to book a battle royal, for the contract. Jeff Hardy then scored a victory before receiving a warning from The Great Khali, Brett Major was then cheated out of a victory over Brother Devon by devious means, when Brother Ray arrived at ringside distracting the ref, allowing a Devon low blow to go unseen and enable Devon to gain a 1-2-3-count. In a sit-down interview with JB, Father James Mitchell revealed part of his history with Abyss and their relationship, before VKM degraded LAX and the Latin people backstage, then after a strong win. And finally in the main event, when Undertaker eliminated Abyss close to the end, Kurt Angle entered the ring to eliminate Triple H, unwittingly giving Taker the win, then as the Dead Man delivered a Choke Slam to the UCW Champion in the ring, away on the ramp James Mitchell applauded while Abyss watched from ringside, observing the apparent coming together of Undertaker and Mitchell with utter horror.

And after this brief introduction we now cut away to the live opening of the show, following a HUGE pyro display, joining JR & King at ringside in the Action Zone, ahead of another hour of UCW action, with a sold-out crowd on-hand with JR, saying…“Ladies and gentlemen welcome again to the Wednesday night Action Zone, with me Jim Ross alongside Jerry The King Lawler and as we get closer to Destiny, events involving the Undertaker and James Mitchell continue to grow with intrigue...” King says…“That’s right JR, last week as Undertaker won the Meltdown Challenge, everybody along with The Monster Abyss saw the sight that confirms all the rumours, Undertaker and James Mitchell are a unit…And a genuine threat to not only Abyss, but also Kurt Angle as the Dead Man will now face the UCW Champion at Destiny...” JR says…“Also as a result of events in the Meltdown Challenge last week Tomko, having been eliminated by Shawn Michaels, has challenged HBK to a 1-on-1 match, while Michaels has accepted on the grounds that should be defeat Tomko tonight, then at Destiny the Heartbreak Kid will receive a 1-on-1 match with Christian Cage, that’s HUGE King…Plus, after elimination by Triple H in the Meltdown Challenge, Samoa Joe looks to regain some winning form when he competes tonight vs. Snitsky, and finally we were told that Jim Cornette plans a Special Address towards Sting…” King then says…“I can’t speak for you JR, but I think Cornette is wasting his time, because he obviously doesn’t know how to get through to the Stinger…Its pointless!” JR then says…“Well we shall see, but it looks as though the action is set to begin…”

And then with attention turning towards the entrance ramp, as the crowd boo and jeer, Father James Mitchell makes his way through the curtain, wearing a deep-purple suit, complete with a broad, devilish smile, as he strolls towards the ring with confidence, showing utter contempt for the crowd and demanding a mic from the ring-attendant, before climbing the steel-steps and entering the ring, then after taking his time, saying…“A great man once said, that while some people are born into greatness and, some people have greatness thrust upon them…Some achieve greatness themselves, now that is true greatness. To stand up in the face of adversity, swim against the tide, never look back and always know that you are right…and last week, was such a time, because MY Undertaker did what he needed to do, what was most important to me, for he eliminated Abyss and in so doing earned an opportunity at the UCW Title and, Abyss must now languish within a world a doubt and self pity, overcome with failure, for having failed in his effort to earn that title match himself…I hope he has realised, that I hold the key to his DESTINY myself, whether that is the direction of his career, or the future of his existence…For when I unveil the Final Secret to his hidden past, nothing will ever be the same for Abyss, or CHRIS. But for the Undertaker however, things could not be better…For not only does he possess the ultimate opportunity, facing the UCW Champion at Destiny inside the confines of that 15ft high Steel Cage, with no interference, no intrusion or outside involvement, it is a fore-gone conclusion, because nothing can stop my Undertaker walking into that cage to face Kurt Angle as, simply the most physically dominant specimen in this business today and maybe ever, while nothing can stop him from walking out as the Brand New UCW Champion and, after that Abyss…Beware for the wrath of the Dead Man will be coming for YOU…”

But when Mitchell is cut-off in mid-sentence, the arena lights gradually begin to dim, signalling the arrival of Kurt Angle as attention now turns towards the entrance way, we hear the beginnings of some really intense music playing over the sound system, before a dark silhouetted figure rises on a platform from below the Action Zone stage, with a hood covering his head, then as the crowd begins to jeer as he steps forwards, removing his hood and revealing the gold UCW Championship Belt around his waist, wearing white wrestling boots and a U.S.A red, white and blue-coloured tracksuit, Kurt now begins to advance down the ramp, pausing half-way to remove the belt, holding it high above his head and tilting his head back, basking in his own glory, before continuing to advance towards the ring, with an intense look on his face, placing the shiny, gold UCW Championship Belt proudly over his left shoulder, while Mitchell looks on with confusion, as Kurt Angle gets closer and closer to the ring and, once inside, Angle now calls for a mic and, as the jeers subside he begins to speak, saying…“Excuse me Father Mitchell, but I just couldn’t help but over hear you and, while I agree with part of what you said…the Undertaker is an amazing specimen, possibly the greatest ever…He is not the greatest in the world right now, ‘cause I am! And I find it interesting you claim the Undertaker will be walking out with my title, because there is no way I’m gonna Rest In Peace, but I will break his ankle, in pieces! And one more thing, if the Undertaker is SO big, bad and tough, where the hell is he? I don’t see him around here, so maybe after he threw that piece of garbage Abyss, over the top rope and out of the Meltdown Challenge, then attacked me from behind, probably to impress YOU, I think the Undertaker realises that he had pissed me OFF! So I won’t be surprised if he doesn’t even show his face until our match at Destiny, because he wants to hide in the shadows and stay away from Kurt Angle while he can, but that will only last so long…You see, I’m not like all the others who he has faced, I’m not an Animal, I’m not his Brother, I’m not a guy who talks but can’t back it up, and I’m not a pathetic Monster with more family problems than I could ever count, because I’m REAL…and inside that cage at Destiny…It’s Shake n’ Break Time…”

DOOMSDAY! But before Mitchell can begin a response to words from Kurt Angle, suddenly the live crowd begin to cheer as The Monster Abyss makes his entrance, coming through the curtain into the Action Zone and hardly even breaking stride, clearly marching with a purpose on his way down the ramp, as the camera focuses, showing the eyes of The Monster to be wide-open with intensity as he advances, making his way towards the ringside area, undoubtedly focused upon Mitchell but, when Abyss reaches the foot of the ramp, Mitchell beckons him forward into the ring, only for The Monster to stop in his tracks, remembering the official restraining order, Abyss pauses before briefly clenching his fists, crossing his arms and roaring aloud, clearly seething with frustration. The Monster is then forced to stay on the outside, while in the ring Angle is amused by seeing Abyss kept at bay, as Mitchell continues, saying…“Why so shy Abyss or, should I say CHRIS? Because that is your real name, but maybe you’re smarter than you look…Maybe you inherited it from your Father or, maybe you’re afraid that if you come within 50ft of me, you’ll go back off to JAIL!!! Anyway, no matter because you are simply wasting my time, what do you want Chris, the Undertaker is not here, you can’t touch me…And you don’t have a title shot so, exactly what do you want? Speak up Chris, don’t be shy…You’re a big boy now...” But as Mitchell continues to insult Abyss without fear due to the restraining order, The Monster himself simply points at Kurt Angle and motions around his waist, clearly demanding some kind of encounter with the UCW Champion, when Angle, says…“Just who do you think you are anyway, coming out here to interrupt me? You’re not getting a shot a me or my title because you don’t deserve it, not tonight, not any time soon…I have a match at Destiny with the Undertaker set in stone…” Then as Abyss crosses his arms and roars aloud with frustration, Mitchell thinks, saying…“Hold on a second, now it seems to me that you both have the same problem, now Kurt…After what you said about the Undertaker having angered you last week, I’d imagine you want to get your hands on the Dead Man, but he is not here tonight, and Abyss I know you want to get your hands on me, or MY Undertaker somehow, but again…that is not possible so why don’t you two go ahead and fight each other? You can beat the hell out of each other and take out all your frustrations, tonight…” But when Angle suddenly begins to appear concerned and unsure of the situation, while the crowd cheers this suggestion from Mitchell, Abyss begins to nod his head, clenching his fists and roaring aloud, while attention turns towards the Big Screen, where the image of Jim Cornette appears, sitting behind his desk in the GM’s office, saying…“Hold your horses, unless I am very much mistaken, you James Mitchell, actually do not run this show, I do. However I am an opportunist and a business man, but it just so happens that along with many of these fans, I also don’t like Kurt Angle! Therefore Kurt, you better get ready, because the match is on, Angle vs. Abyss, tonight in that very ring…It won’t be for the UCW Title, but it will happen tonight…” And as the image of Cornette fades from view and the Big Screen returns to normal, with Abyss beginning to back his way up the entrance ramp, away from ringside, slowly Angle begins to scratch his head, while looking at Mitchell in utter disbelief, before the Father also gradually makes his way out of the ring, leaving Kurt alone, clearly un-happy with this turn of events, as he must now face Abyss later tonight but, with the crowd jeering the UCW Champion and his predicament, we now cut away.

Backstage we then join Jeremy Borash outside the door to Jim Cornette’s office, saying…“JB here and with so much more to come tonight, the intrigue continues, particularly in the conspicuous absence of the Undertaker, concerning James Mitchell, although with Abyss and Kurt Angle now set to tangle in the Meltdown Main Event, you can bet that the eyes of the Dead Man will be firmly watching wherever he is but, right now my guest at this time is the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels and Shawn, coming-up next you face Tomko…And you have asked for a HUGE stipulation…” Michaels then steps in front of the camera, looking ready and dressed to compete, saying…“That’s right JB, you see Christian Cage has been making some big claims, some wild claims, about his standing in this business and negative claims about me, now everybody knows that old HBK can whinge and wine with the best of them, however there is a time to walk away and a time to stand and fight for what is right, and tonight is time to fight. Because for too long Christian Cage has been protected, he has hidden behind Tomko and allowed the Big Man to fight many of his battles, but not after tonight. You see if I beat Tomko, Cornette will give me what I want and, coming-up at Destiny Christian Cage could have the shock of his life waiting for him, because it will be HBK vs. the Instant Classic…And Cage, one way or another BOY, you’re gonna rue the day that you decided to jump on the Showstopper…But tonight, if you have any ideas of getting in my way out there…trying to avoid the inevitable, then maybe the Heartbreak Kid might just have a little something extra for YOU…” Then as Michaels turns to leave on his way to the ring, he leaves JB alone backstage, saying…“There you have it people, HBK in a determined mood to face Tomko but, with Jim Cornette planning to address the live crowd in an attempt to contact Sting, hopefully I can gain a word with the GM to determine his latest course of action…” But before JB can continue, he is rudely interrupted by Brother Ray & Brother Devon, Team 3D as they barge in front of JB, as Brother Ray aggressively snatches his mic, saying…“Beat it Borash, take the night off or something, we’ve got something to say, so just hit the bricks…” And as Devon shoves JB out of camera range, Ray continues, saying…“Now, you people know who we are, you know what we do, you know that, because although you might be dumb and stupid, you are not blind…You can see, plain as day that Team 3D are the GREATEST Tag Team in the history of wrestling, bar NONE. But it seems like TWO pains in the ass inside the Meltdown locker room, are failing to catch on because despite coming-up short against us time & time again, the Major Brothers have challenged my brother Devon and me to a match at Destiny. Can you imagine that, just think for a minute…That is like a College Football team, challenging the NFL Super Bowl Champions…that would be the equivalent act of, some local street fighting bum fronting-up the stones to challenge Floyd Mayweather, but that’s fine. You see, we’re Team 3D and we came, we saw and we conquered, against the Major Brothers and at Destiny we will destroy…And it’s just that simple, because at Destiny not only do we accept the challenge of the snivelling Major Brats, but we are gonna put them out of their misery because they don’t belong around here. They CAN’T beat us, they will NEVER beat us and they will forever regret the day, when they are lying face-down, nursing their wounds and crying like little babies, they will forever curse the day that they decided to step foot into OUR world of pain, right Devon?” Then as Brother Ray hands the mic to his brother, Devon grabs it, saying…“We’ve beaten them before, we beat them in singles, in tags, in 8-man tags, now we are gonna turn their DREAMS of Tag Team glory into a living nightmare! Me & my Brother are simply gonna drill through and mow down the Major Brothers, one more time…Oh My Brother…TESTIFY!!!” Then as Devon discards the mic, dropping it down to the floor as Team 3D makes their way off screen, we cut away.

MATCH 1 Shawn Michaels vs. Tomko w/ Christian Cage

I’M JUST A SEXY BOY! And as we return to ringside coverage with JR & King, suddenly the crowd erupts to welcome HBK into the Action Zone, ready to compete, coming down the ramp wearing his ring-attire with an all-new Official HBK ‘Meltdown Showstopper’ T-shirt, dancing and strutting his way down the aisle-way, sliding into the ring and performing his trademark pose, as his famous pyro fires-up, enlivening the crowd further more, before attention turns towards the entrance again, signalling the arrival of Tomko, coming down the ramp together with Christian Cage, dressed in jeans and an ‘Instant Classic’ T-shirt Cage constantly steals the spot-light, while Michaels keeps his eyes on Tomko entering the ring, as Cage remains outside. Then as the ref calls both men together, with the crowd firmly behind Michaels, following these instructions with Tomko staring towards HBK like a caged-animal, outside the ring Christian slaps his hand on the ring-apron and begins to chant, yelling…“Lets go, Tomko…Lets go, Tomko…” and as the crowd react with jeering, Michaels is briefly distracted as Tomko lunges forwards following the opening bell, swinging a HUGE right hand at HBK. Michaels though is able to duck before turning, where-upon he nails the Big Man with a solid right hand, snapping his head back, before connecting with a stiff kick to the gut and a stiff knife-edge-chop to the chest, stinging his flesh before HBK grabs the Big Man’s arm and looks for an arm whip, but Tomko quickly over-powers Michaels and pulls HBK closely in towards him, before dropping Michaels to his knees with a knee buried deep into the mid-section. And with Michaels briefly winded, Tomko steadies himself, remaining on his feet, dragging Michaels up roughly by his hair and sending him away into the far corner. Then when Tomko prepares to charge towards Michaels and crush him in the corner, as he does Michaels quickly moves and the Big Man runs into the turnbuckle himself, before Michaels grabs Tomko’s arm and again attempts to shoot him into the corner, but gets reversed and this time sent there himself. But Michaels is able to react quick, leaping-up onto the second rope and launching himself off into a Flying Cross Body only for the Body Guard to catch Michaels in mid-air and quickly move forwards, slamming HBK down across his knee with a Back Breaker then down to the canvas, shocking the crowd and dropping down to make the cover, for a very long 2-count. Then when Michaels kicks out, but now hunched on all-fours, Tomko drags him up, again by his hair before lifting him off his feet and delivering a crushing Body Slam, then hitting the ropes and connecting with a running elbow drop, for another 2-count. But as Michaels again kicks out, Tomko drags the groggy Michaels to his feet again, before HBK begins to mount a come back, connecting with several rapid right hands, then turning to hit the ropes only to run into a high Big Boot from the Body Guard, who then begins playing to the crowd, as Cage applauds while HBK hits the canvas. Tomko then drags Michaels upwards before cinching in a debilitating bear hug, attempting to slowly squeeze the life and the fight out of the dazed Showstopper and, as the Body Guard wrenches away on HBK, squeezing harder and harder each time, eventually Michaels begins to fade and his eyes now give a rather glazed over look as the referee questions whether he wants to continue. But when HBK fails to answer, the official then has no option but to raise Michaels’ arm and drop it the first time. With still no response from HBK the ref raises his arm again and drops it once more, the ref then looks over at the time keeper, before raising HBK’s arm for a third time, but as the ref drops Shawn’s arm again, miraculously he keeps it up at the last second to a huge cheer from the live crowd, who now have a sense of hope for Michaels. HBK then tries to wriggle free, twisting and scrapping in an attempt to break the hold, eventually succeeding after a frantic rake of the eyes, followed by a hard right hand, before Hernandez’s power shows again connecting with another aggressive knee, doubling Michaels over and backing him up, before sending him into the far ropes. Then as HBK hits the ropes with Tomko moving slowly, HBK is derailed once more, when Christian Cage reaches up and grabs Michaels’ ankle, causing him a distraction, then as Shawn turns to confront Cage, suddenly Tomko clatters into him from behind, sending HBK down following a brutal, vicious clubbing blow to the back of his head. Then with Michaels lying down in a heap, Tomko advances to him for the final blow, dragging HBK up in a front-face-lock, hoisting him up and off his feet for his finisher, a delayed-fall-away vertical suplex he calls the Body Snatcher, but as he does this, Michaels begins to wriggle is legs, eventually floating over and escaping the move, dropping down to his feet behind Tomko and as the Big Man turns to confront him, Michaels connects with a barrage of stiff, stinging knife-edge-chops to the chest, lighting up Tomko’s chest before backing him into the ropes for a hard arm-whip. However with Tomko still possessing the size-and-weight advantage he counters, reversing the attempt again and sending HBK away and into the far ropes himself. But, with Michaels digging deep, coming off the ropes with tremendous momentum, he launches into a spectacular Flying Fore-arm, connecting and staggering Tomko, rocking him back on his heels, as HBK then quickly turns and hits the ropes again, charging towards the Big Man and connecting with a clothesline, rocking him again, before again hitting the ropes and ducking under a wild swing from the Big Man and, after hitting the far ropes this time, again coming off with tremendous momentum, launching into another Flying Fore-arm, connecting and staggering Tomko back and then finally seeing the Big Man topple over, falling backward and down to the canvas. With both combatants down and the crowd noise rising to tumultuous levels, suddenly Michaels nips up to a deafening reaction, before firing up and yelling with passion, while Tomko staggers up and runs into two more clotheslines in quick succession, before finally an Atomic Drop followed by another clothesline keeps Tomko down, laying flat on the canvas, as with Cage going frantic at ringside as the crowd cheers, Michaels now heads over to the corner and begins to slowly climb the turnbuckle. And with Michaels perched on top of the turnbuckle, he looks all around the arena, into the crowd before getting to his feet and, with the Body Guard down on the mat, HBK turns his head and dives off the turnbuckle, crashing down on top of Cage and, with both men falling to a heap on the ringside floor, the crowd are in utter disbelief, before Michaels springs to his feet and drags Cage up, connecting with a solid chop, causing Cage to quiver with the effects before HBK connects with a second chop, before sending Cage crashing into the rings-steps, collapsing into a heap at ringside. Then with Michaels fired-up, he yells aloud with emotion, as the crowd cheer him on, but he is urged by the ref to re-enter the ring and resume the match, or be counted out, prompting Shawn to climb back onto the apron and up to the top rope once again and, with Michaels now perched on top of the turnbuckle, he looks all around the arena, into the crowd before getting to his feet and, with Tomko still down on the canvas, Michaels then comes flying off the top rope with his patented Flying Elbow Drop, only for Tomko to move at the final moment, causing HBK to crash land in a heap, while Tomko rolls away to the ropes. Then with Michaels down and moving slowly, Tomko eventually clears his head, regains a firm footing and drags HBK to his feet, pulling him into a front-face-lock and hoisting him up and off of his feet into the air, then slamming him down to the canvas with his finishing move, the Body Snatcher. Then as Tomko makes the cover while the crowd looks on with complete disbelief, the referee makes the count, 1……2……3! Giving Tomko the huge up-set victory, leaving Michaels to rue his eagerness in attacking Cage, having cost himself dearly, while the Instant Classic gets to his feet in a daze, before quickly realising the facts, having escaped a meeting with the Heartbreak Kid at Destiny, thanks to this result, Cage now staggers to his feet while Tomko has his hands raised in victory by the ref, before leaving the ring to join Cage on the outside, as the pair embrace on the ramp, then with Christian raising the arm of Tomko, clearly relieved following the match, inside the ring Michaels begins to recover, coming out of his dazed state of mind, looking on as Cage and Tomko celebrate, while he is only left to console himself and, as the victorious duo of Cage and Tomko head up the ramp, we now slowly cut away.

And following these events, we now re-join JB backstage with The Game Triple H, saying…“Well JR, things clearly not going in favour of the Heartbreak Kid tonight, but with my guest at this time…Having known Shawn for many years as partners, surely HBK will be back?” Triple H then thinks for a moment, gathering himself and, saying…“Firstly JB, no one knows Shawn like I do and yes, he will certainly be back, but right now I wanna talk about last week, the Meltdown Challenge and Kurt Angle, because Kurt…You know what you did, running into the ring and eliminating me, why? It’s simple, I am the only man who can take the UCW Title away from you, that’s why…You don’t care about these people, I don’t think you care about Karen, because all you care about is being the BEST…And Kurt, you know as-well-as I do, that to be the BEST means to be the UCW Champion…and it’s as simple as that but, your actions will not go un-punished…Mark My Words Kurt, we will meet again…” But as Triple H addresses the camera, he is interrupted and confronted by Samoa Joe, dressed to compete and looking pleased with things as he now addresses The Game, saying…“Isn’t it funny how, what goes around, comes around…and in this case, Hunter…You got what you deserve. Now Kurt and I are not and never will be friends, but last week I laughed my ASS off when I saw him throw you over the top rope, after you double-crossed me once again with a sucker-punch and eliminated me. So, since you have no match tonight and since your buddy just got his ass beaten down, maybe you should find a seat, sit back and watch a real competitor in action because, coming-up next…I will be taking on Snitsky, and…Inevitably, He Will Be Broken!!!” Then as Triple H steps closer towards Joe, with JB now cowering in the background, Joe aggressively shoves his way passed The Game, shoulder barging him to one side, while the Samoan Submission Machine marches off strongly on his way to the ring, tossing his white towel over his shoulder as HHH watches every step with angry eyes, forming a look of disdain while somehow restraining himself from attacking Joe, saying…“Tonight JB, I am in a very bad mood…with nothing but time on my hands, and since I can’t get hold of Kurt Angle tonight…Samoa Joe will do me just fine…” And with these words hanging ominously in the air, Triple H moves out of range, following the path of Samoa Joe, as JB takes a deep breath and finally we cut away.

Elsewhere we now join Crystal, standing between two men with their backs turned, facing away from the screen, wearing large cowboy hats & colourful striped ponchos, before Crystal looks left, then looks right and, shrugging her shoulders at them both, saying…“Guys, come on…don’t you think this is a bit silly, you’re supposed to be grown men preparing for a shot at the UCW Tag Team titles, not wild west outlaws, please just turn around…” But we then hear the muffled voice of one of the men, saying…“No deal Senorita, not unless you introduce us…that’s me and my partner!” spoken with a very bad Mexican accent before Crystal shrugs her shoulders again, saying…“Alright, now ladies and gentlemen, please allow me to introduce to you all, the soon to be UCW Tag Team Champions of the world…BG James and Kip James, the Voodoo Kin Mafia…” Then as both men turn around, Crystal shakes her head, seeing that BG & Kip are not only wearing HUGE cowboy hats and striped ponchos, but they also have hugely over-sized fake black moustaches, as BG speaks first, saying…“Now you may wonder why we are dressed like heroes from the wild west, but the answer is simple…Kip and me have been in intense training to defeat LAX, now in order to defeat an enemy you have to understand it, hence these outfits, because we have been under-cover in the Mexican Territory…hunting Mexicans and, every time one of those punks came near the US border we rounded them up and bussed them off to the Sheriff’s Office, pronto. Just like in the day of John Wayne…” Then Kip says…“But that’s not all because we have also been scouting the LAX, watching training videos and learning how to anticipate the way a Latino thinks…” Kip then reaches under his poncho and removes a copy of ‘Nacho Libre’ on DVD, saying…“Jack Black just brings the world of Lucha Libre to life, on the big screen!” Then as Crystal fails to see the funny side of these jokes, she shakes her head, saying…“Honestly guys, do you really think this is what’s gonna help to beat LAX?” But as Kip and BG get serious, ripping off their moustaches and throwing them aside, BG says…“LAX? Well, for your information Crystal, LAX are not even here tonight, again…Either because they’re scared or because they have been deported back home, maybe because they lost their work permits for failing to defend the tag team titles, but wherever they are…All jokes aside at Destiny, VKM are coming to play serious!” And Kip says…“Those guys better pray they don’t get let back into the country, because if they get to Destiny, they’ll both be leaving about 10lbs of gold lighter and, after we win the titles…We’re gonna hold a victory party and we’re gonna invite, Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek and purchase all the tequila we could ever drink!!!” Then as both BG and Kip re-claim their fake moustaches and place them back on, before turning and heading down the hallway, walking with bowed legs like cowboys, Crystal once again shakes her head as we cut away to re-join JR & King at ringside.

MATCH 2 Samoa Joe vs. Snitsky

With Snitsky waiting in the ring, the familiar entrance music of Samoa Joe sounds, before the Samoan Submission Machine himself now gradually comes out into view, slowly making his way through the curtain with an intense expression upon his face, while the crowd chant…“JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE!” as Joe pauses on top of the ramp, running his thumb across his throat and acknowledging the loud roar from the crowd, before quickly marching down the ramp and handing his towel to the ring-attendant while the ref keeps Snitsky restrained as Joe now enters the ring, without hesitation, stepping-up to confront the bizarre Big Man, before the official now calls for the bell. Then as both men lock-up, following an initial test-of-strength, Snitsky prevails, shoving Joe back on his heels, before roaring with a failed attempt at intimidation and, when the pair lock-up again, Joe quickly pushes Snitsky off and goes behind him, locking-in a waist-lock only for the Big Man to connect with a wild back elbow and, with Joe caught off-guard and staggering back, Snitsky follows up with a stiff knee, backing Joe into the ropes and then getting sent across the ring and into the far ropes. But, as Joe careens back off the ropes and Snitsky stands in the centre of the ring, momentum carries the Samoan Submission Machine into the Bizarre Big Man, causing Snitsky to rock backwards following an aggressive running-shoulder block. Joe then quickly turns and hits the ropes again and as Snitsky now charges forwards, Joe launches into a high flying knee, taking Snitsky down and energizing the crowd. At this time though, the attention of the crowd is briefly drawn to the entrance way, where we see Triple H emerge from the back, armed with his faithful sledgehammer, dressed in casual jeans with an official King of Kings T-shirt and black leather jacket, with a particularly intense attitude about his entrance, The Game begins to advance, taking up a viewing position halfway down the ramp, looking on with deep interest as Joe begins to drag Snitsky up, but becoming distracted by the presence of The Game, Joe gets caught with some solid right hands to the mid-section, doubling him over, then as Snitsky looks to take advantage by turning & hitting the ropes for momentum, when he charges forwards, Joe quickly recovers and takes a step towards Snitsky, countering his charge with a patented Snap Slam, taking the Bizarre Big Man down, then as Joe springs to his feet, running his thumb across his throat, he drops down, eventually making the cover but with time to recover, Snitsky kicks out on a 2-count, clearly frustrating Samoa Joe. But as we see another shot of Triple H on the ramp, seemingly un-impressed by what he is seeing thus far, Joe drags Snitsky up again, delivering an Atomic Drop before hitting the ropes and connecting with a dropkick, taking Snitsky down then getting to his feet and connecting with a sin-ton backsplash, before making another cover, only to interrupt the count, breaking it off on a 2-count, then slowly dragging the Bizarre Big Man to his feet clamping his arms on his throat, locking-in the Kokina Clutch, then dropping to the canvas and grave-vining the body, while Snitsky tries to resist the effects with Joe pulling and twisting upon his throat, before the pain becomes too much and as the Big Man gradually begins to fade away the referee checks him before slowly raising his right arm and dropping it one time. Then following a second and third attempt, with Snitsky proving un-responsive, eventually the ref calls for the bell and awards victory to Samoa Joe via submission. Then when Joe breaks the hold and Snitsky slowly rolls toward the ropes to recover, the referee raises Joe’s hand in victory as the Samoan Submission Machine stands, however following the official decision, Triple H begins to advance down the ramp, pausing at ringside when Samoa Joe catches sight of him, shoving the referee aside, while The Game now begins to ridicule Joe with mock applause, while Joe looks on, beckoning HHH into the ring, before The Game begins beckoning Joe to the outside, where-up-on Joe simply smiles to himself and calls for a mic, with HHH listening, saying…“You know Hunter, we could continue going back-and-forth with each other, playing games each week…Or we could settle things in the ring, 1-on-1 at Destiny…” Then as the crowd begins to cheer in response to this challenge, HHH seems to agree, stepping forwards and climbing-up onto the apron, then stepping between the ring, while still holding his sledgehammer and pausing, only a few metres away from Joe. And with these two HUGE fan favourites staring back at one another, Joe then says… “So what do you say? You and me, 1-on-1…May the better man win, no excuses…” But before Triple H can respond, suddenly Snitsky gets back to his feet out of sight, lunging up behind Samoa Joe and clubbing him across his back, sending him down, then as The Game seems amused and steps away, clearly not standing in the way, Snitsky begins to drag Joe up to his feet for the Pump Handle Slam, hoisting him up, then slamming Joe down to the canvas, while HHH begins stepping through the ropes. But when Snitsky gets to his feet and locks eyes with him, HHH steps back inside, before Snitsky gestures that he wants a piece of The Game as-well-as Samoa Joe and, as HHH first looks down at Joe and then at the sledgehammer still within his hand, followed by a look to the crowd, the crowd begin to cheer, as Joe rolls to the outside, while Triple H discards his weapon and beckons the Bizarre Big Man towards him. Snitsky then advances and unloads with a HUGE right hand that Triple H blocks, followed-up by a right hand of his own that connects, but then Snitsky swings again, followed by a second right hand that is also blocked, before HHH begins to unload, rocking Snitsky back in his tracks with a barrage of heavy right and, with Joe outside, Snitsky somehow weathers this attack and reverses HHH away into the far ropes but, with Snitsky aiming a Big Boot, The Game ducks and then settles himself once more, only for Snitsky to adjust quickly, turning and charging towards HHH at full speed, only for The Game to counter, taking him down with a brutal Double-A Spine Buster, planting Snitsky on the canvas, then getting to his feet, removing his leather jacket, and performing several popular Crotch Chops before striking the famous HHH pose, while Samoa Joe gets to his feet and begins slowly backing his way up the ramp, holding his head and watching HHH climb the turnbuckle and point directly at Joe, signalling that he will make Joe bow-down to the king and, as the crowd goes wild, with Triple H standing tall in the ring, Samoa Joe heads to the back and we cut away, amidst the cheers from the crowd, as a look of disdain covers the face of Samoa Joe.

Backstage again we now join JB, with a rather relaxed looking Father James Mitchell, saying…“Ok JR, things really seem to be heating-up between The Game Triple H and the Samoan Submission Machine, but as we attempt to clarify that match-up for you, now I am joined by the man who has recently caused a stir of controversy in UCW, the likes of which has gone un-seen for many years. Ladies and gentlemen my guest, Father James Mitchell and firstly, following our sit-down interview from last week, tonight has raised some very interesting questions…The first of which is this one, having recruited the Undertaker to eliminate Abyss, whose side are you on tonight, between Abyss & Kurt Angle…Considering that at Destiny Angle will defend his title against the Dead Man, but tonight Kurt has the opportunity to do your bidding early, by taking out The Monster, breaking his ankle or even worse…Who do you favour?” Mitchell considers the question, mulling over his response before, after a moment, saying…“A very good question JB, but I’m afraid I don’t have a firm answer for you, because frankly I have not consider it at all. You see my priority is the same as ever, and that is the betterment of myself…whatever is good for me, is what I will be doing, however tonight as you describe it is a paradox…I could see Abyss destroying Kurt, making him easy picking for the Undertaker at Destiny, giving my Dead Man the title. Or Kurt Angle could, as you say, break Abyss’ ankle, render him immobile or worse, which would go along way towards making the Undertaker’s job of destroying Abyss, that much easier…Therefore it is a Catch 22 situation, very much out of my control, although having said that I will certainly be watching, but I’ll not go further than that, and I certainly won’t be accompanying either man out there…not Abyss, not Angle, neither man shall have the benefit of my presence tonight…Only the Undertaker…” Then JB says…“Very interesting and that leads to my next question, the Undertaker, who has been conspicuous by his absence here tonight…Can you confirm for us, following much speculation to the contrary, when we will see you accompany him, because even after the final moments from last week, as you stood applauding him, many people took that as confirmation, while for others their doubts still remain…” Mitchell then says…“JB there will always be doubts and doubters, even Jesus Christ, our saviour himself was persecuted as a fraud, people laughed at him, some still do, however when the time is right…The Truth Will Out…And when it does, you’ll see, everybody will see the truth…the secret I hold inside regarding Abyss, as-well-as, regarding my alliance with the Dead Man…So help me God, maybe tonight JB, maybe next week…Maybe not until Destiny…But I’ll guarantee this right now and, honestly, I hope both men beat the hell out of each other and there’s nothing left but, regardless of what happens tonight Kurt Angle cannot beat the Dead Man at Destiny, and one-way or another…Abyss will Rest In Peace at the hands of the Undertaker…” Then as Mitchell turns away, seemingly content with himself and everything else, while JB still looks slightly confused, gradually the camera pans around to the right, showing Jeff Hardy standing by a water cooler, getting himself a refreshing beverage, when he is approached and confronted by Ranjin Singh, translator to The Great Khali, who says…“Sorry to interrupt you Jeff, but I just wanted to pay you a compliment, courtesy of The Great Khali, because you staying out of our way last week was smart, you proved that you are indeed an intelligent man Jeff Hardy, more so than I thought, because you realised your own physical limitations…And you did the sensible thing, in staying away from Khali…Otherwise, things could have been very bad for you…” Then with Singh smiling to himself, Jeff Hardy very calmly takes a sip of his water, before aggressively throwing it against the wall, totally shocking Ranjin Singh, saying…“Get this straight, I am not afraid of The Great Khali, or anybody else and, when you see him, tell him that I will take him on at anytime or anyplace he wants, because one thing is for sure…Khali may be unique, but I am a total ENIGMA!!!” Then as Ranjin begins to cower away from an extremely intense looking Jeff Hardy, the camera closes up on Singh showing genuine concern in his eyes as we cut away.

And as we return to the Action Zone with ringside from coverage with JR & King, wasting no time we see Jim Cornette making his way down the ramp with an anxious expression on his face, with his neck still in a hard-collar following a previous RKO, Cornette seems to be focused, although appearing to be without his usual clip-board, dressed in a smart suit as he enters the ring, the GM adjusts his hard-collar before claiming a mic and starting to address the Action Zone crowd, as Cornette begins, saying…“For the past two weeks since Road 2 Glory, and the two weeks prior to that, I came out here with a contract in hand, in the hope of being able to confront Sting, hoping to make him a genuine offer to return to the ring, and regain the UCW Title. Now, at first I was sympathetic towards the Stinger out of loyalty, I wanted to help, wanted to understand his point of view…but he rejected my initial contract offer, firstly for a place in the RTG Challenge and secondly for an actual UCW title match, with Kurt Angle. On both occasions I felt like I was doing the right thing for Sting, for UCW as a whole and all our fans…but apparently I am still missing something, now…I’ll be honest with you all because I don’t have another contract with me and, ladies and gentlemen please bear with me, I have done a lot of thinking on this matter, suffered many sleepless nights and gone to bat for the Stinger time and time again but, after what has gone on this past month…I am even starting to second guess myself…” And as the crowd remain hushed and silent, Cornette takes a moment to think before, saying…“At one time UCW and myself were committed to resolving this issue, recovering any lost ground and repairing our relationship with Sting, and I still am, however their patience is really starting to wear thin within the UCW Management. They appear to be losing faith in Sting as a leader, as the man to be our Franchise and, quite frankly so am I…but again out of loyalty I have been able to buy some time so, Sting if you can hear me…You have one more chance, maybe even your last chance, to take the initiative and bridge the communication gap that exists between yourself, UCW Management and me…because the time has now come for Sting to speak out, to step-up and begin to tell us what it is that he wants…Sting said more than once, that he wants what the people want…He wants what you all want…But what is that?” Then as the crowd begin to get involved, voicing their opinion towards the GM, chanting…“We Want Sting…We Want Sting…We Want Sting…We Want Sting…” Cornette then begins to smile, before mouthing…“So do I, so do I…” and then, saying…“You want Sting, well so do I, but I need to know what Sting himself wants, what will it take to get him back on-side with Meltdown, back into the Action Zone?  Now Sting I mentioned that I have bought you some time, and that time is 11-days, meaning that you have between now and the night of February 24 at the Destiny PPV, to come forward, to contact me or UCW Management…and tell us what you want…”

HEY, NOTHING YOU CAN SAY! But as the arena is now bathed in a golden glow, attention turns to the entrance way as Randy Orton makes his way through the curtain, surprisingly dressed to compete but wearing a Legend Killer T-shirt with his trunks, Orton now pauses on the ramp to strike his famous pose, as the crowd begins to jeer, while Orton smiles and continues down the ramp, pausing briefly on the ring-steps, observing the displeasure from the crowd and Cornette as he locks eyes with Orton, before climbing into the ring and, after posing on the top turnbuckle to more jeers, Orton then calls for a mic from the ring-attendant, as he begins to address the crowd, saying…“You want Sting, huh? And you want Sting too, don’t you Jim Cornette but, here’s the news…You see, Sting is nothing anymore…and certainly no LEGEND…” Cornette then says…“Since you have come out here to interrupt me, I could be wrong, but I assume you have some kind of point to make…Beyond the obvious, that is…” And Orton says…“How very astute of you, yes I do indeed have a point to make, because while I could continue to come out here and berate and deride these people, and their Fallen Icon…It’s Too Easy…And I for one would like to move forward, therefore I have come out here to make a suggestion…for a match, at Immortality, involving myself against the UCW Champion, be that Kurt Angle or the Undertaker, since there are no further contenders…Samoa Joe & Triple H wish to fight each other, Christian Cage is consumed with Shawn Michaels & HBK himself on a losing streak, how about it Jim…Me, Randy Orton…the Legend Killer, the new No.1 Contender? And before you start to think about it, just imagine the benefits with me for a moment, Jim I can be The Franchise, I can be the future…You don’t know what Sting wants, frankly it doesn’t matter…He Is Gone, he was ungrateful and does not deserve this, but I do. I drove Sting out of this business and mark my words…He will not be back!” Cornette then says…“Randy, despite my personal opinion of you, you have a point, you deserve to be in title contention the same as anyone else, so I will consider it but, for now since I have said my piece…to these people and to Sting, I’ll say goodbye…” Then as Cornette discards his mic and steps out of the ring, heading back up the ramp, Orton seems pleased, nodding to himself and smiling, that is until the crowd resume, chanting…“We Want Sting…We Want Sting…We Want Sting…We Want Sting…” causing Orton to snap, yelling…“Sting, Sting, Sting…that’s all I ever hear anymore, but why? If he’s so GREAT, if he’s such an ICON, then where is he, I don’t see him? Where are you Stinger, I’ll tell you where he is…he’s at home, playing with his kids, walking the dog, being a faithful husband and a good Christian…because he’s scared, he’s afraid of Randy Orton. And while I’m around here…Sting will never come back, because like I said…He is no Legend, no Icon and no Hero and a Franchise no more, because he is a COWARD…a fake and a fraud…and Sting is NOTHING anymore…” And as the crowd begin to berate Orton with hostile jeering and audibly loud boos, Randy himself simply smiles even brighter, before dropping his mic to the canvas, stepping through the ropes and slowly making his way back up the entrance ramp, before pausing on the Action Zone stage and, cupping his hand to his mouth, yelling…“Wooooo!!!” and with the crowd even further incensed, Orton smiles again, before turning away and heading through the curtain and out of sight as we cut away.

Backstage we now join Crystal with a pensive looking UCW Champion Kurt Angle, ahead of tonight’s Main Event, as Crystal begins with Angle flexing his neck muscles, saying…“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Kurt Angle, and Kurt…I must say, as you prepare to face The Monster Abyss in a non-title match, with your wife still bound by injury and the Undertaker coming-up for you at Destiny, surely it must feel like the world is crumbling around you under all this pressure…” Then as Angle abruptly stops stretching, he scoffs at Crystal’s comments before, saying…“First of all, I am ‘UCW Champion, Kurt Angle’ so get it right next time, secondly my wife is strong enough to assist her own recovery, she doesn’t need you, or anyone else sucking up to her or me, so everybody can shove their get well wishes, because the Angles always land on our feet…Just like I am gonna do at Destiny and, as for tonight…I heard what Father James Mitchell said…he’s not gonna be out there, so the way I see it Abyss is gonna have no excuses when I beat his ass in that ring. You see, earlier tonight when I stood in the ring and watched Abyss stand in the aisle, do you know what I saw…I saw FEAR in his eyes and he didn’t want a piece of me, nobody does…from Triple H, to the Undertaker and The Monster Abyss, I’m the best, I’m the UCW Champion & after tonight I’ll be 100% focused on the Undertaker but, tonight I’m gonna do the Dead Man a favour, I’m gonna do James Mitchell a favour, because I’m gonna take Abyss OUT…and then at Destiny, with or without Mitchell,

I’ll do the same to the Undertaker, permanently…Oh It’s Real, It’s DAMN Real!!!” Then with Kurt placing the UCW Championship Belt proudly over his shoulder, before marching off on his way to the ring, Crystals hands back to JR at ringside.

And as we re-join JR & King at the ringside announce table, ahead of our main event, JR says…“Well King, there appears to be no lack of confidence from the champion, however from where I was sitting that did not look to be the case earlier tonight but, whatever happens and whatever side James Mitchell is on…it’ll be a hell of a fight!” King then says…“No kidding JR, Kurt Angle wants to prove he is the best wrestler, probably EVER, every single time he steps into that ring and with Destiny coming-up, tonight is no different because Kurt wants to send a message to the Undertaker…” Then JR says…“And what about Mitchell, King, earlier tonight when JB asked him, he said he wouldn’t be out here…but whose side do you think he’ll be on, tonight?” King says…“Well, with the Undertaker not here tonight, and Angle taking on Abyss, I’d have to say that Mitchell would favour Kurt. He’ll want Kurt to take Abyss out, but come Destiny…If Mitchell and the Undertaker really have formed an alliance, even I would fear for Kurt, Abyss and everyone then…They would be unstoppable!” JR says…“Maybe so King, but coming next week we’ll hear from the Major Brothers, having challenged Team 3D to a match at Destiny, what do the brothers have to say? Plus VKM will again be in the Action Zone, but will LAX finally choose to attack, and after the comments by both Jim Cornette and Randy Orton, we ask the question, just where is Sting? He has not been in the Action Zone for over a month now and, with UCW Management apparently losing faith in him…We ask what the fans think, but with all that to come next week, now it is time for the Meltdown Main Event…”

MAIN EVENT

UCW Champion Kurt Angle vs. Abyss

And with both men having made their way to the ring with Abyss the crowd favourite, Angle crosses himself for good luck before handing his title belt to the referee, removing his blue hooded-USA ring-jacket and handing that to the ring-attendant, while Abyss remains stoic and still, never once taking his eyes from his opponent and, with Angle in the far left corner and Abyss in the far right corner, the ref then calls for the bell and things get underway with a very edgy Angle slowly making his way into the centre of the ring, as Abyss also steps forwards and the pair lock-up with intensity. Abyss’ power and strength advantage then immediately shows as he forces Kurt backwards into the corner and pushes him firmly against the padded turnbuckle post. But with Angle grabbing the tope rope the referee quickly calls for Abyss to release his grip on the champion, which surprisingly he does first time, backing away into the centre once again. Angle then looks rather pensive as he considers his next move, slowly stalking The Monster around the ring before attempting a single leg-takedown. But Abyss easily shakes off Kurt’s attempt and clubs him firmly down to the canvas, roaring loudly and illustrating his physical dominance, while Angle now looks rattled. Abyss then seizes the initiative and drags Angle to his feet by the shoulder straps, only for Kurt to lash out with an aggressive kick to the mid-section, winding Abyss, before snapping his head back with a stiff European uppercut, but as Kurt continues, building momentum and looking to follow-up, an aggressive right hand is blocked, before Abyss comes back with a HUGE right hand of his own, rocking Angle back. Kurt then recovers to swing again, only for Abyss to also block this attempt as well, before again connecting with a HUGE right hand, rocking Angle back once more. Kurt then sees Abyss advance and quickly lashes out with a second kick to the gut, followed by another stiff European uppercut, backing The Monster into the ropes, only for Abyss to reverse Angle across the ring, sending him away into the far ropes, then as Kurt careens off the ropes towards Abyss, The Monster takes him down hard, with a crushing shoulder block. Then as Angle tries to clear his head following this, Abyss drags him roughly to his feet, winding Angle with a knee deep into his gut, before backing him into the corner. Abyss then sends Kurt careening across the ring, before charging in behind and crushing Kurt in the corner with a Full Body Splash, before then repeating the manoeuvre and sending Kurt across to the opposite corner, then crushing him once more. Then as Angle collapses to the canvas in a dazed heap, Abyss slowly stalks his prey, dragging Kurt to his feet and hoisting him into the air, looking for a Press Slam only for Kurt to frantically wriggle his legs and break free, dropping to the mat and charging to hit the far ropes, attempting to build momentum, before hitting the ropes only to be taken down with a crushing Big Boot to the face. Abyss then attempts a cover, but when Angle kicks out after a very slow 1-count, shocking Abyss, The Monster quickly drags Kurt up and hoists him into the air again, this time planting him in the centre of the ring with a Body Slam, then stepping away, then with Angle down, Abyss advances again before dropping an elbow onto Kurt, only for him to move at the final moment, just escaping the weight of The Monster, seeing Abyss crash down to the canvas. But with Angle still trying to clear his head, Abyss beats the slightly groggy Olympian to his feet, but as The Monster advances, Kurt staggers up and quickly unloads with a barrage of rapid-fire right hands, swinging with all his strength and connecting with the head of Abyss several times, before The Monster cuts Kurt off with a knee to the gut, before backing him up and into the corner. Abyss then sends Kurt into the corner again, but as Kurt staggers out, Abyss advances and clamps his arms around the waist of the Olympic Gold Medallist, trapping him in a Bear Hug. But with the debilitating effects of the hold taking a toll, when Angle begins to fade and the crowd begin to cheer as the referee raises his arm, dropping it once, then twice, eventually Kurt digs deep enough to keep his arm raised, before aggressively biting the head of Abyss in an attempt to break free from his grip, then when The Monster releases Angle, he then delivers several stiff elbows to Abyss, before turning to hit the ropes, only for Abyss to explode with brutal aggression, connecting and taking Kurt down with a succession of clotheslines one after another, before delivering a solid boot to the face, keeping Angle down. With Abyss fired-up, clenching his fists and crossing his arms, roaring aloud with anger and aggression, Angle staggers up as The Monster waits, before throttling Kurt around his throat, attempting a Choke Slam only for Angle to lash out with a desperate rake of the eyes, then as Abyss releases his grip and turns away, Kurt quickly hooks Abyss’ arm, attempting to hoist him up for an Olympic Slam only for The Monster to float-over, dropping to his feet behind Kurt and then as Angle turns, this time Abyss lashes out, winding Kurt with a stiff, solid kick to the mid-section before hooking his arm and hoisting him up, onto is shoulders for Shock Treatment, only for Kurt to wriggle free, dropping to his feet on the mat behind Abyss and quickly hooking his arm once more, looking for the Olympic Slam again only for Abyss to reach down under his own arm, throttling the throat of Angle once more and breaking his grip on the arm of Abyss, choking Kurt and looking for the Choke Slam again. But as Abyss attempts the move, suddenly Kurt lashes out with a vicious kick to the groin, buckling Abyss at the knees, then as the ref instantly calls for the bell and Abyss manages to remain on his feet, when The Monster releases his grip on Kurt and turns away in pain, Kurt drops down, delivering a second venomous low blow to Abyss from behind, with his clenched fist. Then as the ref rolls to the outside and informs the time keeper of the disqualification, Angle also rolls to the outside, before claiming a steel chair from underneath the ring. Then as the official pleads with Kurt to re-think this, Angle shoves him to the ground, before rolling back into the ring with Abyss slumped down to his knees on the canvas, with his back turned away from the UCW Champion as Angle now gets to his feet, brandishing the steel chair high above his head and, seething with intense aggression, yelling…“YEAH!!!” while preparing to clatter it against the skull of The Monster…

LIGHTS OUT! But at that very moment amid deafening cheers from the live crowd, suddenly the arena lights cut-out and we hear a single bell tolling in the distance, briefly shrouding the Action Zone in complete darkness, prompting a tumultuous roar, before the lights soon return to reveal the Undertaker having appeared out of nowhere, standing tall in the ring with Angle now stunned to see the Dead Man before him, dressed to compete without his hat or coat, fixed with a scornful glare upon his face. Then with Angle briefly frozen in the presence of the Dead Man, he lowers the chair, only to be throttled by the Undertaker who begins to choke Angle around the throat, forcing Kurt to drop the chair as he uses both hands in a attempt to break Taker’s grip, with Undertaker looking for a Choke Slam only for Kurt to desperately rake the eyes, escaping the Dead Man’s claw before quickly turning to hit the ropes for momentum, until the Undertaker steps forward and Kurt runs into a Big Boot, sending him down. And with the crowd going wild at this unexpected drama, Undertaker turns away, claiming the steel chair from on the canvas and brandishing it for all around to see, while Kurt Angle clears his head and crawls across the ring, slowly getting to his feet, but with Abyss slowly recovering from those low blows and slowly standing as well, when the Undertaker unloads with a HUGE swing of the chair, aiming for Angle, suddenly the UCW Champion ducks down just as Abyss turns back to face the action, causing the Undertaker to clatter the solid steel chair over the head of The Monster, staggering The Monster backwards into the ropes, while Angle takes avoiding action, rolling to the outside and away from the Dead Man, who visibly curses with regret, but with Abyss dazed and stumbling back, he falls against the ropes with such force, that his arms now become tied-up between the ropes, leaving him unable to escape. Then as Angle backs away, we now see the wide-eyes of Abyss through his mask, before The Monster now begins to squirm and fight in an attempt to free himself, seeing only the Undertaker standing before him, wielding the steel chair in his hand, with Angle now on the entrance ramp with a full view of current events in the ring, the UCW Champion begins to smile while the Dead Man raises the chair again and attention slowly turns towards the top of the ramp as Father James Mitchell appears, standing on the stage and smiling to himself, while slowly applauding the Dead Man. And with Taker in the ring and Mitchell on the ramp, Angle makes a hasty retreat, heading to the back while Mitchell urges the Dead Man to hit Abyss one more time, with the crowd unsure of what they have witnessed due to the presence of Mitchell, convincing many of an alliance with the Dead Man who continues to hold the chair, fixing his eyes on Mitchell as The Monster Abyss languishes frantically before him, but as Meltdown now prepares to go off the air with no movement from either man, JR says…“For weeks James Mitchell has professed an alliance with the Undertaker, but for the first time serious questions are raised…Was that chair intended for Abyss, or Kurt Angle…And have we seen the emergence of an Unholy Union here tonight?”
