UCW Meltdown – January 30 – Wednesday Night
Action Zone
As the opening strains of Guns’ N’ Roses’
Welcome to the Jungle blast from the screen, we are shown brief highlights from last week’s Live UCW Road 2 Glory PPV.
In the opening match, LAX chose a returning Jeff Hardy to team-up with them against VKM and The Great Khali and following
a competitive back-and-forth encounter, Khali trapped Hernandez in his Vice Grip with Kip, BG, Jeff Hardy and Homicide bundled
together on the outside, when Hernandez sunk to his knees and passed out, giving Khali the victory and gaining VKM a Tag Team
title match against the LAX. Triple H then dominated Kurt Angle in his bid to win the UCW Championship Belt, only for Angle
to gain the advantage with a number of short cuts, unseen by the ref, before Triple H eventually fired-up and came to within
a glimpse of overall victory, until Kurt knocked the ref down and attempted to use a chair on Triple H, but then, when The
Game ducked and the chair hit Kurt in the face, the tide was turned again, allowing HHH to hit the Pedigree on Angle, only
for the ref to DQ the champion, shocking the live crowd. Triple H then took his frustrations out on Karen Angle, dragging
her by the hair and dropping her with the Pedigree, next to her husband. Then following the revelation that Christian Cage
had attacked Shawn Michaels, Father James Mitchell had enlisted the Undertaker to eliminate The Monster Abyss, and Samoa Joe
being the hot favourite to win the RTG Challenge Match-up itself, Meltdown & Infest took to the ring, with Abyss eventually
eliminating Undertaker, before a distraction from Mitchell allowed the remaining entrants to eliminate Abyss. Christian Cage
used a distraction from Tomko at ringside to eliminate Michaels, before HBK & Tomko brawled-off up the ramp, leaving Samoa
Joe alone with Orton, Batista and Scott Steiner. Then when Joe eliminated Orton over the top rope himself, Triple H came to
ringside still seething following his earlier misfortune with Angle, causing a distraction to allow Steiner to dump Joe out,
to disbelief from the crowd. Then as Batista when on to eliminate Scott Steiner to earn his way onto Immortality, Samoa Joe
got to his feet on the outside, with thoughts of revenge clearly on his mind.
And as the introduction comes to a close and Meltdown now
goes live to the world, wasting no time we see Jim Cornette making his way down the ramp with a pleasant expression on his
face, still with his neck in a hard-collar following last week’s RKO, but seemingly other-wise okay and armed with a
familiar clip-board in one hand and, dressed in a smart suit as he enters the ring, the GM adjusts his hard-collar before
claiming a mic and starting to address the Action Zone crowd, as Cornette begins, saying…“Settle down people,
I need quiet for just a moment for this announcement, because here in my hand I have the answer…It has taken me quite
a while but now, after what happened to me last week on Meltdown at the hands of Randy Orton…and after all the events
that occurred when Meltdown invaded Infest last Friday night…I, along with UCW Management have taken time to consider
the repercussions and, following the actions of Randy Orton…there is actually almost nothing we can do, given that we
re-instated him at the request of Sting…to suspend him is not an option. However, last Friday at Infest where those
present were reluctant to go into battle, only Samoa Joe had the guts and the integrity to stand-up and defend this brand
and, when it seemed that all else was lost…Sting was the man who showed his loyalty… The Stinger stepped-up when
it counted, proving exactly why he is truly an Icon and, why he is The Franchise of Meltdown and proving what he was saying
all along… Sting will be here when WE need him and he was indeed true to his word last week. That is why I have in my
hand another contract…for exactly what the Stinger wants, having had the UCW Championship stolen by Kurt Angle, being
denied in rematches, being threatened by Randy Orton and screwed out of his place in the RTG Challenge, there is no wonder
why Sting was reluctant to accept my previous contract offering… A place in the RTG was no consolation for these scars
against him…and so to tonight, because here in my hand I have something that will allow Sting to compete fairly, without
interference from outside forces, and the opportunity to REGAIN his title… Because in my hand is a contract for a match
against Kurt Angle on PPV at Destiny, for the UCW Championship…Inside the confines of a 15ft high STEEL CAGE!!!”
And as the crowd begin to cheer this announcement, Cornette smiles broadly again, saying…“So here it is Sting,
it’s yours for the taking…I think it’s what you want, listening to the crowd I think it’s what these
people want…and it’s what I want so, wherever you are…high or low, backstage or in the rafters…It’s
here for YOU…” Then as the camera zooms around the Action Zone accompanied by a spot-light, shining on every corner
of the arena attempting to locate the where-a-bouts of Sting, Cornette looks hopefully into the upper-tiers of the seating
area as the crowd cheers, but after a while it appears as though The Stinger is not in the Action Zone tonight, Cornette says…“Well
I’m sorry to say this, but it appears as though he is not here, however, Stinger wherever you may be…I know you
will hear this at some point and, this contract will remain open for another SEVEN days…until Meltdown next week, therefore
you have until this time next week to accept my offer, I hope that you do…”
HEY, NOTHING YOU CAN SAY! But as the arena is now bathed in
a golden glow, attention turns to the entrance way as Randy Orton makes his way through the curtain, surprisingly dressed
to compete but wearing a Legend Killer T-shirt with his trunks, Orton now pauses on the ramp to strike his famous pose, as
the crowd begins to jeer, while Orton smiles and continues down the ramp, pausing briefly on the ring-steps, observing the
displeasure from the crowd and Cornette as he locks eyes with Orton, before climbing into the ring and, after posing on the
top turnbuckle to more jeers, Orton then calls for a mic from the ring-attendant, as he begins to address the crowd, saying…“Hey
BOSS, hey Jimbo, you look a lot better that the last time I saw you, how’s the neck? It must be quite something for
a man in your position of power to be, quite literally powerless to do anything against me…because of your own ruling,
huh? You refused to suspend me again because Sting requested my re-instatement last time, that’s truly amazing! I mean,
that truly does show a loyalty towards YOUR franchise, even though the man himself has not even got the guts to be here to
face me himself! Instead he goes to Infest to ‘Save the Day’ and then he no-shows again tonight which, by the
way seems very convenient…But actually brings me to my reason for interrupting you. You see Jim, if there is a shot
for the UCW Championship available, clearly Sting does not want or deserve it…So since I was the man who sent him away,
the man who claimed HIS place in the RTG, I Randy Orton deserve that title shot too! How about it, Jim? Put me in the Steel
Cage with Kurt Angle…on PPV at Destiny…”
But with the crowd becoming increasingly hostile toward the Legend
Killer, suddenly attention turns back to the ramp as the familiar entrance music of Samoa Joe sounds, before the Samoan Submission
Machine himself now gradually comes out into view, wearing casual trousers and an official ‘Joe’s Gonna Kill You’
Meltdown T-shirt, Samoa Joe makes his way down the ramp with an intense expression upon his face, while the crowd chants…“JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE!”
And as Orton looks worried, Samoa Joe now enters the ring, keeping his eyes locked on both Cornette and Orton, claiming a
mic and, with Cornette appearing to welcome this latest interruption, Samoa Joe smiles briefly while the cheers and chants
from the crowd increase, saying…“Let me get this straight Cornette, you are out here with another contract, offering
it to a man who is not even here tonight, who did not even enter the RTG? Now don’t get me wrong, I have no problem
with The Stinger, not after last week, where he had my back…when nobody else did. But Jim, this is the UCW Title and,
honestly title shots are not given, they are earned. Now Randy, you don’t surprise me, because I know you’d like
nothing better than to sign your name onto that contract, take what is not yours and continue to talk the talk, without ever
backing it up but, Randy if you want a title shot then you will have to go through me to get it. You see, last Sunday I did
what I said I would do…I out-lasted every last Meltdown Entrant, and there was no man who could eliminate me alone.
And if it weren’t for Triple H, sticking that large nose of his where it does not belong…the title shot would
be mine, so I suggest you hand that contract to me, unless anybody here intends to stop me…”
TIME 2 PLAY THE GAME! But as the Action Zone crowd erupts with a
loud cheer, initially welcoming the arrival of Triple H, before a more mixed response breaks out, mirroring the reaction of
Samoa Joe who observes The Game with complete disdain, coming down the ramp, dressed in casual jeans and an official King
of Kings T-shirt, wearing a leather jacket and with a particularly intense attitude about his entrance, with the arena bathed
in a dark green glow as the sound of Motorhead reverberates, The Game then climbs up onto the apron and locks eyes with Joe’s
intense glare, before dropping back down to the floor and claiming a mic from on the ring-steps. Then as part of the crowd
chants for Triple H and part of the crowd chants for Joe, while Orton remains calm, The Game backs away and onto the entrance
ramp, saying…“You know something, Joe? What happened last night can be explained, with two words…Pay Back.
And just like Karen Angle, paybacks are a BITCH!!! Right, Joe? But I really don’t understand why you’re so surprised
all of a sudden; after all, I told you it was coming…And all I did to you was what you did to me, except I did it one
better…You screwed me out of my place in the RTG Challenge, along with Kurt Angle and I meant it when I said after Kurt,
you would be next!!! That’s just the way I play The Game Joe, and I didn’t even lay a hand on you to do it, so
the way I see things…You Screwed Me, so I screwed you…and now we’re even. But, since I had the UCW Title
won on Sunday and since I did in fact win the match, and since nobody on Meltdown actually won the RTG Challenge, it seems
to me like, I’m still the No.1 Contender for the UCW Championship. Not you Joe, not Orton and, if anybody deserves another
title match it’s me…and in a Steel Cage so much more, because I won’t have to worry about incompetent officials,
I can do things my way, no DQ, no interference…I fight hard, I fight dirty and I will be UCW Champion!!!”
9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1! But before Joe can even respond, as jeers are
heard in the crowd, Christian Cage makes his way through the curtain, accompanied as ever by Tomko, holding a mic and wearing
jeans and an ‘Instant Classic’ T-shirt, Cage now pauses, stopping on the stage with Tomko by his side, as all
3-men in the ring pay attention, while Triple H only turns around half-way, keeping his eyes on both Cage & Tomko, but
maintaining his view of Samoa Joe, Orton and Cornette, as Cage begins, saying…“Hold on one second, because you
simply can’t have a real conversation, talking about the UCW Championship, without the BIGGEST star on this show. Now,
Triple H you made a great point about having the champion beat, with your Pedigree, but since I eliminated your little buddy
Shawn Michaels from the RTG Challenge, after I raised my Pimp Hand and I bitch-slapped the taste out of his mouth, last week,
I’ve got no problem doing the same thing to you right now, live on MY TV show!!! Because HBK might be the showstopper…But
Christian Cage is an Instant Classic, and without me there would be no show, so the way I see it…I am the SHOW and,
that title shot is mine and you’ll step aside unless you want me to Pimp Slap you…” Then as Samoa Joe begins
to laugh, while Orton remains quiet and Cornette winces, but Cage continues…“Or maybe you’d be more at home
slapping my wife around, because it seems like you just can’t get the JOB done against men who fight back!” And
as the crowd gasp at these words from Cage, when Cage himself begins to smirk, Triple H turns away from the ring and begins
to march up the ramp directly at Cage, prompting the Instant Classic to gulp and step back, almost hiding behind Tomko, who
steps forwards while HHH makes it to the half-way point, with Cornette, yelling…“STOP, calm down…”
before Samoa Joe suddenly rolls out of the ring and, with Orton looking on as Triple H stops in the centre point of the entrance
ramp, surrounded by Tomko on one side and Joe on the other and, with nowhere to go, Cornette again yells for everyone to stop,
attempting to bring calm to the situation, before security make their way through the curtain, diffusing things as Joe backs
off, while Cage stays behind Tomko as Triple H lowers his guard, turning to face Joe and, Cornette says…“OK, now
maybe we can resolve this issue before things get ugly, because as I had previously said…this contract in my hand is
for Sting and Sting only, so it will remain open to him for seven days…and I expect him to accept it next week. However,
as for tonight, I can see that you all clearly want to fight each other; therefore you might as well do it in my ring, on
my time, rather than in the back, unsupervised. So tonight’s Meltdown main event will feature a 6-man tag team match,
with Christian Cage & Tomko teaming-up with Randy Orton, against the team of… Samoa Joe, The Game Triple H and the
Heartbreak Kid…SHAWN MICHAELS!!!” And as Triple H and Samoa Joe step towards each other again and they square-off,
Meltdown Security advances towards their minor confrontation, separating both men, while Cornette steps through the ropes
clutching the contract in hand, before pausing, saying…“Oh, but should Sting not accept this contract, should
that not happen, tonight the winner of the fall in this 6-man Main Event…might just earn it himself…” Then
as Cornette continues on his way out of the ring, assisted by security members, Tomko & Cage are seen in deep discussion,
while Triple H & Joe remain focused, until HHH performs a popular Crotch Chop towards Joe, angering the Samoan and, prompting
security to hold the Submission Machine back, while HHH smirks at him, while all the time Randy Orton remains in the ring,
contemplating things to himself, when we now cut away with events now set in motion for the Main Event tonight.
Backstage we then join Jeremy Borash with the Charismatic
Enigma, Jeff Hardy, saying…“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Wednesday Night Action Zone, where just 3-days
removed from a spectacular and controversial Road 2 Glory PPV, things have got off to an amazing start tonight with Jim Cornette’s
opening address. Offering Sting a contract to compete for the UCW Title against champion Kurt Angle, inside the confines of
a Steel Cage at Destiny on February 24, live and only on PPV, but not before our Main Event tonight sees Christian Cage, Tomko
and Randy Orton, compete 3-on-3 against the DX duo of Triple H & Shawn Michaels and their partner, the wild-card in this
volatile scenario, the Samoan Submission Machine, Samoa Joe. Can HBK help bridge the gap between The Game & Joe, we hope
to find out soon, however my special guest at this time is certainly no stranger to 3-on-3 competition, Jeff Hardy…You
made a return to action at Road 2 Glory, looking better than ever…” Jeff then nods in agreement with JB, before
listening to the response of the crowd, saying…“That’s right JB, I did make my return at Road 2 Glory and
it felt great, because not only did I get back to doing what I do best…I made a HUGE impact. Nobody thought I’d
be back without my brother Matt, but that’s a lesson for them all, never underestimate Jeff Hardy. But my return seems
to have gone a little unnoticed, because when I arrived here tonight all people want to talk about is The Great Khali, how
big he is…how strong he is…his size, his power…And I’m getting tired of it!!! Sure Khali is big, strong
and powerful…he has dominated the biggest of all men but, 1-on-1, I think I can take him…Because as big as he
is, I’m faster…as strong as he is, I’m smarter…and as powerful as he is, that’s no use at all
unless he can catch me first. So yes JB, Jeff Hardy is back and better than ever…and it’s time
to get EXTREME...” Then as Jeff Hardy poses with his signature finger-action, he turns away with JB now, saying…“There
you have it ladies & gentlemen, the Charismatic Enigma Jeff Hardy, back in UCW, back on Meltdown and looking to take things
back to the extreme but, coming-up later tonight you’ll have the chance to take a look at his target yourselves. The
Great Khali will be in action in just a few minutes, plus also coming up will be, via satellite an exclusive up-date on the
condition of Karen Angle from her husband, following the Pedigree from Triple H last night…Kurt Angle speaks with us
live…” However before JB can hand back to JR & King at ringside he becomes distressed, when we now see The
Monster Abyss approaching and seemingly on a rampage. Abyss then steps in front of the camera to confront JB, standing face-to-face,
yelling…“Mitchell…MITCHELL!!!” Then as JB begins to cower away from him, Abyss suddenly turns towards
the camera, looking directly into the screen and, yelling…“MITCHELL!!!” before crossing his arms and roaring
aloud with anger, displaying his immense rage towards his maniacal tormentor, before we cut away.
MATCH 1 The Great Khali vs. Hardcore Holly
With Holly waiting in the ring as Ranjin Singh leads Khali down
the to the ring, Ranjin Singh steps to the outside as the match begins, with the crowd now silent, clearly dubious towards
Holly as he looks nervous and backs off as Khali advances, stepping forwards and raising his fists into a boxing stance as
Hardcore moves in, staying low to avoid the hands of the Punjabi Nightmare and grabbing his leg, apparently attempting a single-leg
take-down, only for Khali to counter strongly, shoving Holly off with authority and sending him sprawling down to the canvas.
Then, with Holly clearing his head, Khali advances again, dragging Holly up, then clamping his hands around the head of Holly
and applying his deadly Vice Grip, however as Holly fights desperately to escape, before Khali can cinch in the hold, managing
to hook his feet around the bottom ropes, as Khali continues to squeeze, until the ref begins to count and Ranjin Singh instructs
Khali to break the hold, releasing Holly and stepping back. Then as Hardcore gets slowly to his feet again, stepping forwards
in a dazed state, he is able to duck under a wild swing from Khali, before hitting the ropes on the far side for momentum,
but as Khali turns around, Holly runs into a HUGE Hand Chop from the Punjabi Giant, sending him down hard. And as Holly’s
head bounces off the canvas as he goes down, Khali raises his arms, standing tall as Singh once again applauds and Holly tries
to clear his head again and, with the live crowd holding their breath, now Khali drags Hardcore back to his feet, before throttling
him around the throat with both hands and hoisting him off his feet, then slamming him down to the mat with a devastating
double-barrelled Choke Slam. Then with Hardcore lying motionless on his back, Khali looks out into the crowd and, stepping
forwards he then places one foot on the chest of Holly, attempting a cover, before the ref counts 1-2-3, awarding The Great
Khali a crushingly dominant victory. Then following this match, Ranjin Singh enters the ring as Khali raises his arms, roaring
aloud and firmly displaying his physical dominance to the Meltdown Roster, before Ranjin Singh begins to applaud once more,
as Khali steps over the top rope, dropping of the apron as the Punjabi Nightmare marches his way back up the ramp. But when
Ranjin Singh joins The Great Khali on his way to the back, as we cut away, the camera briefly catches sight of the Charismatic
Enigma Jeff Hardy backstage, watching these proceedings on a monitor in the hallway and taking particular interest, given
his comments regarding Khali earlier, Hardy seems impressed with the Giant, while JR & King remark that Jeff maybe scouting
the 7ft 3” man for future reference.
Backstage we then join Crystal with Team 3D, with her looking
particularly nervous, in the company of Brother Ray & Brother Devon, who don’t look very happy as, Crystal says…“Brother
Ray, Devon, tonight you have had your request granted and, coming-up next you Brother Ray will be facing Brian Major in 1-on-1
competition, but you don’t seem to be very pleased about things…Have you changed your mind?” Brother Ray
then takes a deep breath and looks at Devon, then sneers at Crystal, saying…“Of course we’re not pleased
about it, what do we have to be pleased about, you dumb blonde? Me and Devon had the greatest chance to win the RTG Challenge,
we were the only two guys who could work together and it would have worked fine, until those no good, stinking punk, those
long haired wannabes, the Major Brats, decided to get involved in our business once again…That’s why we are pissed
off!!! But tonight we set things straight because after they eliminated me, and my brother, instead of making names for themselves,
the Majors have actually done the opposite. They have sealed their fate at the hands of the Greatest Tag Team in wrestling
history, because tonight I’m taking Brian Major to school and it ain’t gonna be a pleasant trip, those two needs
to be taught a lesson in respect and Brother Ray is the Task Master, right Devon?” Then as Brother Ray steps back from
the mic, Devon leans forward, yelling…“The RTG was a MAJOR shock, but tonight will be a MAJOR nightmare, Oh My
Brother…TESTIFY!!!” And Team 3D then both turn away from the camera, while Crystal begins to hand back to JR &
King, before we now see fear in her eyes, when we see The Monster Abyss approaching, still on his Action Zone rampage. Abyss
then steps in front of the camera to confront Crystal, standing face-to-face, yelling…“Mitchell…MITCHELL!!!”
Then as she begins to cower away from him, Abyss suddenly turns towards the camera, looking directly into the screen and,
yelling…“MITCHELL!!!” before crossing his arms and roaring aloud with anger, displaying his immense rage
towards his maniacal tormentor, before we cut away.
Our attention is drawn to the Big Screen as a commercial begins
with a Mexican flag billowing in the wind as we hear several gunshots accompanied by this voice-over… “The following
announcement has been paid for by the Latin-American Exchange…”
We then see Homicide & Hernandez, holding their UCW Tag Team
Championships, sat behind a table and flanked on either side by gang members of the Latino Nation, wearing their colours with
the Mexican flag spread prominently in the foreground, squarely in the centre of a small dimly lit room, displayed with great
national pride while various replicas hang from the walls and a bottle of Tequila stands on the table. With all of them wearing
sun-glasses and LAX T-shirts as well as black bandanas, Homicide then begins to address the camera in Spanish, before becoming
extremely animated and aggressive as he reaches for the camera, pulling it in-close to this face, saying…“VKM
los gringos, finally you get your chance after Road 2 Glory, essay… But understand that you have been talking for too
long and now you have to PAY! See, when you came knocking on the door of LAX, we simply laughed in your face, but now you
have no more excuses…No more hit and run, nowhere left to hide, because at Destiny you’ve gotta step in the ring
with the UCW Tag Team Campeones, LAX the fuerza dominante de Lucha Libre…and it’s time to get serious amigos…
You’re gonna learn what it means to taste your own blood, sweat and tears and, remember when you step into the ring
you are not only fighting the two of us, Orale, you’re fighting the pride of a nation, the people of a nation, the entire
Latino Nation, Brrrrra! You won’t have a 7ft 3” giant to do your dirty work for you this time and, Kip James,
BG James, you think you are the mafia? Voodoo Kin Mafia, Brrrrra… LAX are Militant Thugs 24/7-365 and we do not discriminate
against anybody so, these title belts are not going anywhere…until death do us part, Arriba la RAZA!!!” Hernandez
then says…“VKM, your DESTINY now is To Live and Die in LAX…” And as the picture fades from the shot
of LAX, the opening voice-over returns… “The preceding announcement was paid for by the Latin-American Exchange…”
MATCH 2 Brother Ray w/ Devon vs. Brian Major w/ Brett Major
With the Majors making their way to the ring by charging down
the entrance ramp, full of energy and receiving a warm welcoming from the live crowd in attendance, once inside the ring the
brothers share a high-5 and await the arrival of Team 3D, slowly coming through the curtain and drawing a hostile reaction
from the crowd. Devon then holds the ropes open for Brother Ray and with both having entered, during the pre-match instructions
Brother Ray warms up for the match by mock shadow-boxing while Devon holds up his hands like pads for his brother to hit,
drawing further jeers from the crowd, as Brother Ray yells at the top of his voice… “This guy is just a human
punching bag…and tonight I’m gonna break him in half!!!” Then as the ref instructs Devon and Brett Major
to exit the ring, as the bell sounds, Brother Ray and Brian Major step forward, before Brother Ray backs off again, playing
mind games with the youngster. Then as they both step forward once more, locking-up, Brother Ray quickly cuts Major off with
a sneaky knee to the mid-section, doubling him over before dropping him to his knees with a clubbing blow to the back. Ray
then drags Major up by the hair and rocks him with a solid right hand to the head, before backing the Major up into the far
corner, followed-up by a slap to the chest, stinging his flesh before delivering a hard arm-whip, sending Brian across the
ring. Then as Brother Ray quickly charges behind Brian looking to follow-up immediately, Brian Major pushes off the turnbuckle-post,
springing up-and-over Brother Ray, landing on his feet behind him and as Brian steadies himself and Ray turns around, Brian
Major leaps to connect with a standing drop-kick, staggering Brother Ray, sending him stumbling backwards into the corner.
Then with the crowd cheering, Brian quickly gets to his feet and with Brother Ray slumped against the turnbuckle, Brian quickly
charges and connects with a solid high knee to the face, rocking Ray. Then as Ray slumps down to the mat, as Brian drags him
out of the corner by the foot, before quickly making a cover, Brother Ray kicks out following barely a 1-count. Brian Major
then gets to his feet, dragging Ray up and maintaining a slight advantage, utilising a number of quick pinning combinations
only for Brother Ray to escape, however following this, with Brother Ray able to reverse Brian Major into the ropes, due to
his weight advantage, at ringside Devon reaches and grabs Brian by the ankle, causing a distraction that allows Brother Ray
to gain the upper-hand in the match-up. Brother Ray then begins to beat down on the younger man while the crowd jeers, maintaining
his advantage thanks to brute force and several under-handed tactics. But, following several near falls from Brother Ray,
eventually Brian Major fires up, making a huge come back and sending Brother Ray down, time and time again, connecting with
a number of clotheslines and a back-body-drop, then a dropkick. However, with Brother Ray down as Brian Major comes off the
top rope with a high, Flying Leg Drop, Devon reaches into the ring again, this time grabbing his brother, pulling him out
of harms way and causing Brian Major to crash down onto the mat! Then with the ref immediately distracted by this, with Brett
Major now also livid, Devon and Brett soon clash on the outside drawing the attention of the referee further, with Brother
Ray clearing his head and Brian Major slowly standing on unsteady legs, when Major drags Brother Ray up Ray quickly connects
with a vicious low blow, buckling Brian Major down to the canvas behind the ref’s back and, as the ref turns, Brother
Ray makes the cover with Brett Major looking on with horror into the ring, while Devon backs away and smiles as the referee
counts 1-2-3, giving Ray the win, having hooked the tights to gain extra leverage, before quickly rolling to the outside,
joining Brother Devon for a victory celebration high-5 as the crowd become incensed.
But with Team 3D having departed following their shameful but victorious
actions, we now re-join JR & King at ringside while Brett Major now slowly enters the ring, tending to his brother before
assisting him out onto the apron and gradually to his feet. JR says…“Well folks, after an amazing effort by young
Brian Major here tonight, once again Team 3D showed their true-colours, double-teaming behind the referee, stealing this victory…but
you will never hear Brother Ray or Devon admit it, King…” King says…“What do you mean JR? Team 3D
just proved what they’ve been saying, that they’re the greatest Tag Team in history…All because of team-work
like that!!!” JR says…“Well be that as it may, I guess that’s your story and you’re sticking
to it, but regardless of that, following an eventful and controversial UCW Title Match-up, Sunday night at Road 2 Glory…which
saw Kurt Angle hang on to the championship, only by the skin of his teeth against Triple H…It is now time for us to
shift gears, because joining us now live, via satellite from his home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, please welcome the current-UCW
Champion and former Olympic Gold Medallist, Kurt Angle…” Then as the attention of the live crowd turns towards
the Big Screen, followed by a number of audible boos and jeers, we now see a shot of Kurt Angle, sitting before the camera
on a sofa in his home, with walls emblazoned with medals, pictures and tokens of his success over the years and the UCW Championship
Belt, placed proudly next to him on the sofa, while Kurt wears a U.S.A coloured tracksuit, saying…“Thank you JR,
thank you King, as you can see my wife Karen is not here, but despite the colossal mental stress I and my wife have endured
since Sunday night, I will try and do my best to be accommodating and answer any questions you have…” JR then
says…“Well we certainly appreciate that Kurt, but starting with your wife, following the effects of the Pedigree
she suffered at the hands of Triple H on Sunday, how is Karen?” Then as the crowd begins to cheer, causing Angle obvious
disgust, bringing a further look of disdain to the face of the UCW Champion as he begins, saying…“Well JR, obviously
things are not good, Karen is a precious, delicate flower, she is not a wrestler like myself or even Triple H. She is not
trained to protect herself, now following the Pedigree she was placed in a hard-collar and onto a stretcher and, from there
she was taken to hospital to receive an X-Ray scan on her neck and back. Right now my wife remains in the hospital under the
supervision of her doctors and, after the results of her X-Ray we’re told Karen suffered a severely sprained neck…”
JR then says…“Well we certainly appreciate you taking the time to speak to us Kurt, but considering the circumstances…do
you consider yourself a lucky man right now, having only escaped with the UCW Title following a controversial refereeing call?”
Angle then frowns into the camera, before shaking his head in utter disbelief at JR, saying…“JR, have you heard
one thing I’ve just said, my wife is in the hospital!!! Having suffered 5 broken-necks myself, I know exactly what kind
of pain Karen is in, but that is nothing compared to the pain I am going to inflict on Triple H after this. You ask if I’m
lucky, no I’m not…I deserve to be UCW Champion unlike Triple H, because I am not the kind of man who would hit
a women, not once but now twice! Now if you must know, Triple H is the lucky one…lucky because he’s not in jail,
after I’ve spent the last 3-days while consoling my wife, on the phone to our lawyers, preparing to sue Triple H for
common assault. But apparently that is not possible, because since Karen is not an official UCW contracted in ring performer,
or manager, when I signed a waiver to allow her to accompany me to ringside at her own request, that document absolves UCW
Management and it’s performers of liability for Karen, therefore Triple H cannot be guilty of assault because it occurred
during an event…” JR then says…“Well that seems like common-sense to me, but what about tonight…”
However before JR can even continue his response Kurt Angle soon cuts him off, saying…“But on second thought JR,
I don’t even blame Triple H for what he did, because I blame each and every single one of those fans in the UCW Action
Zone and every single fan that bought a ticket and was in the arena 3-days ago at Road 2 Glory! Because without all those
people cheering him on, supporting Triple H all the way, there is no way he would have done what he did. But after he failed
in his challenge, he was embarrassed because he knows he could never beat Kurt Angle for the title so, cheered on by the crowd
he took his frustration out on my wife…just to save face and, simply to impress those fans…well, for everybody
who cheered Triple H on Sunday, and for everybody who cheered what happened to my wife…listen to me right now, because
for all the pain and suffering you have caused my wife these past few days, starting next week I will personally make sure
each and everyone of you feel her pain! But I can’t touch you people physically, so I’ll have to take out my revenge
mentally, by forcing you to watch as I single handily continue to hold the UCW Championship, because after what happened to
Karen…I have all the motivation I’ll ever need and, there is no mortal man who will EVER take this title away
from me…No Man Alive, and believe me…That’s Real, That’s DAMN Real…now this interview is OVER!!!”
Then as we see Angle rise from his seat as the Big Screen turns fuzzy with static, slowly the picture returns to normal and
JR turns to King, almost speechlessly, saying…“Clearly the UCW Champion, not in a mood to discuss things rationally…”
Then King says…“Come on JR, how can you expect the man to behave rationally, with his wife in the hospital? But
he did have a lot of interesting things to say and, personally I agree with Kurt…and I don’t think Triple H can
beat him for the title…” But with JR & King in disagreement surrounding the comments of Kurt Angle, backstage
we now find JB quickly approaching as Shawn Michaels enters the arena, stepping through the huge double doors into the Action
Zone, HBK seems annoyed, carrying a luggage bag on his shoulder and still wearing a band-aid on his fore-head, having not
healed from the brutal attack he suffered prior to the RTG Challenge, courtesy of Christian Cage. But as Michaels makes his
way forward, JB approaches, saying…“Shawn, please just a quick word…you picked a hell-of-a-night to be late,
have you heard about tonight’s main event?” But as HBK remains focused and, ignoring JB on his way down the hallway,
we see Michaels enter one of many doors, while leaving JB to address the camera, out of breath having chased after HBK, saying…“There
you have it JR, Shawn Michaels has finally arrived here tonight, however with that HUGE 6-man main event coming-up, I’m
not giving-up on this, and the moment Shawn steps out of his locker room…You’ll be first to know, JR…”
DOOMSDAY! And as we return to coverage from ringside along
with JR & King, suddenly the live crowd begin to cheer as The Monster Abyss makes his entrance, coming through the curtain
into the Action Zone and hardly even breaking stride, clearly marching with a purpose on his way down the ramp, as the camera
focuses, showing the eyes of The Monster to be wide-open with intensity as he advances, making his way around the ringside
area, aggressively shoving the time-keeper aside, before claiming a mic and climbing the ring-steps, on his way up onto the
apron. Abyss then pauses, taking a moment to look out into the crowd, one way and the next, with JR saying…“King,
who knows the kind of torment that burns inside this man, whether or not deep down he even thinks like a man, or feels emotion
like a man? Sunday night at Road 2 Glory Abyss allowed the wild claim of Father James Mitchell, to distract him from his primary
focus…But when will the Mind Games end, King…” King says…“What ‘mind games’ JR?
It’s clear to me that Mitchell speaks the truth, Undertaker and Mitchell are together and Abyss, he has no mind to play
games with!” Then as The Monster turns away, stepping easily over the top rope and into the ring, he takes a moment
to consider things, momentarily raising-up the mic to his mouth, before lowering it and looking to his left, then to his right
and then raising it again, saying…“Mitchell, I’ve waited 3 days and 3 sleepless nights to get my hands on
you, but in reality I have waited what seems like a lifetime…Since I arrived here in UCW, every step I take is haunted
by your presence, when I close my eyes I see your face, but no more! Now it comes to an end…I have destroyed every obstacle
in my path, every beast you have thrust before me, has fallen before me…even the Undertaker, and after Road 2 Glory
you have nowhere to hide, nowhere to run, and no escape, because I cannot live one more day on the same earth as YOU! It ends,
tonight…” But as Abyss fixes his gaze on the entrance way, waiting for Mitchell to respond, slowly the crowd begins
to jeer and heckle as Mitchell slowly strides into view, however without out so much as a moments notice, Abyss suddenly drops
his mic, stepping over the top rope and marching up the ramp, but Mitchell yells, mic in hand, saying…“STOP right
there Abyss, stop right there…if you harm one hair on my head, in fact if you take so much as one step closer to me,
the strong arm of the law will act without hesitation, and you’ll be carted off by the boys in blue like a common crook!”
Then as Abyss stops in his tracks at the foot of the ramp, with Mitchell on the stage, intrigue and disbelief spread throughout
the crowd, as The Monster clenches his fists, while Mitchell begins to laugh to himself with pure evil as he focuses on Abyss,
saying…“It’s truly amazing how even after all these years, a mere threat of authority, however brief still
has the same affect on you. But you see ABYSS, I will explain, you see every-single-time you get the chance, you attempt to
put your hands on me… Every time I return with another ‘beast’ as you put it, your aim is to vanquish them,
solely to get to me…Well no longer will that be possible because I have acted, following Sunday night at Road 2 Glory
as you attempted to chase me down Abyss, having evaded your pursuit for the umpteenth time, I made a little 911 phone call
and, the following day having explained our history and our current situation in person, they granted me a permanent restraining
order and should you come within 50ft, Abyss you’ll be placed back behind bars where you belong. Now stay put and listen,
because since I arrived in UCW…following a long and extensive search I might add, finally I located you here and, I
set about ridding these people of your existence but, nobody yet understands why…But you know, don’t you ABYSS?
Only too well…” But as Mitchell pauses allowing his words to take effect, with the crowd intrigued, Abyss appears
subdued and gradually begins shaking his head, as Mitchell continues, saying…“That mask you hide behind, the false
name, the hidden secrets of your past, the truth you ran away from for so long and the reason you want to lay hands on me,
to shut me up and keep me from telling the entire world…exactly what it is I know, who you are and how the Monster that
these people cheer, was once just like them…” And with Mitchell turning away, Abyss then reaches back into the
ring for his mic, yelling…“Mitchell, the secret stays between you and me, but the battle is not over, because
I had the goal to be UCW Champion…to prove to myself that I could do it, on my own. And you of all people knew that
I would go through heaven and hell, even with the Undertaker standing in my way I would not back down to achieve this, but
on Sunday night you crossed me for the final time…and so now you must pay!!!” But Mitchell turns back toward Abyss,
standing the length of the entrance ramp apart, saying…“You simply don’t get it, do you Abyss…it’s
not about you and me anymore, the restraining order prevents you from laying one of your bastardised fingers on me, but that
is not the case for the Undertaker. You see, after I made the claim last week, people laughed, they doubted me, but you didn’t
and with very good reason Abyss. You know what I am capable of and I saw the fear in your eyes as I spoke that night, but
to think you have nothing more to fear is bordering on the insane. Listen to me; you really don’t think it’s over
do you? You say I cost you the RTG on Sunday night, well you cost the Undertaker that very same opportunity on the very same
night and, Abyss…I happen to know that your actions didn’t go down too well in Death Valley. Now the Undertaker
may not be here tonight as is his prerogative, but REST assured, when he does return…You will be the first to feel his
wrath and, hear me now Abyss, I suggest you heed this warning…for the Undertaker shall not be as merciful as I…”
Then as Mitchell begins to laugh maniacally into the camera as he slowly turns away, stepping through the curtain and leaving
Abyss alone to contemplate the situation and, while Mitchell heads away, the crowd begin to feel the same anxiety as The Monster,
having now angered the Dead Man following their encounter in the RTG Challenge, as questions arise surrounding his past, Abyss
faces the consequences of his actions. And as The Monster slowly makes his way back up the ramp, clearly deep in thought,
having much to consider following this revealing exchange with his former manager, King says…“See JR, I told you,
James Mitchell and the Undertaker are together and, Abyss is gonna have to pay for his sins…against both Mitchell and
the Dead Man!” JR says…“Hold on a second King, Abyss is clearly the victim in this situation and, until
Mitchell can actually produce the Undertaker himself, I remain unconvinced…”
Backstage we now re-join JB, outside the locker room door,
with Shawn Michaels, saying…“As things get more intriguing by the day between Father James Mitchell and The Monster
Abyss, with HUGE question marks still concerning the Undertaker, my guest at this time…Is none other than the Heartbreak
Kid Shawn Michaels and having caught-up with events thus far tonight, Shawn…What are your thoughts?” HBK then
says…“Well JB, first of all I would just like to apologise for being late but, when my flight was delayed and
I knew I wouldn’t make it on time, I sent a message, via text to Jim Cornette to inform him that I would in fact make
it to the show. Now, concerning my thoughts on the RTG…sure I was eliminated almost immediately, having spent the least
amount of time in the match…but that is not my concern, because I was able to get my hands around the scrawny little
neck of Christian Cage, the Instant Classic, the same man who attacked me from behind last week and claims that I don’t
have the old HBK magic anymore. Well Cage, I don’t know about that, but I do know that your baby-sitter Tomko may have
saved your ass on Sunday night, but somewhere down the road, sooner or later you and I are gonna be left face-to-face, man-to-man,
mono-e-mono, 1-on-1 & unfortunately for you that’s just how I like it...” But before JB can ask another question,
the camera sees Triple H approaching HBK, saying…“Better late than never Shawn, but now that you’ve arrived,
it’s time to go, because our match is up next…You, me & Sloppy Joe vs. Cage, Tomko and Orton…”
But as Michaels briefly cracks a smile with his old buddy The Game, shaking hands, before suddenly we hear the slamming of
a door in the backstage and a deep voice, yelling…“Oh, so I guess you FINALLY decided to show-up, some tag team
partner!” And as the camera pans around we see an aggressive looking Samoa Joe approach, dressed to compete and wearing
an official ‘Joe’s Gonna Kill You’ T-shirt and carrying his familiar white towel in hand, while now confronting
the DX duo, standing face-to-face with HBK before stepping sideways and squaring-up to HHH, saying…“And as for
you, after Sunday night how do I even know I can trust you?” Triple H then says…“Like I said, after Sunday
we’re even, but you heard Cornette, the winner tonight might be first in line for another title shot against Kurt Angle;
therefore…I doubt I can trust you anymore that you think you can trust me, partner...” And with things looking
like they might boil over between Samoa Joe and HHH, Michaels manages to separate both men by slowly forcing himself between
them and, saying…“Come on guys, this stuff isn’t helping anybody! Hunter, come with me… Joe, we’ll
see you out there…” Then as HBK steps off screen following these words, while The Game slowly backs away, still
refusing to take his eyes off of Samoa Joe, when the DX duo depart with Joe watching closely as they go, JB turns to Joe,
saying…“Joe, with tensions obviously still running high between you and Triple H, how can you expect to co-exist
tonight, when you team with DX in the main event?” Samoa Joe then flexes his neck muscles and, turning back towards
JB with a snarl, saying…“JB for the first time, I think I agree with Triple H, we can’t trust each other,
but at least we can agree to disagree. Now everybody knows the history between DX, they’re as thick as thieves…but
I have no allies, no allegiance and that’s how I like it, because I can do just as I please…and to quote Triple
H…Paybacks are a BITCH!!!” Samoa Joe then turns away from the camera, leaving JB speechless as we cut away.
We are then shown a brief promotional vignette for the next time
that UCW action will be featured live on PPV, when Meltdown & Infest both combine once again to present: – UCW Destiny…Live
and Only on Pay-Per-View…Sunday 24 February.
MAIN EVENT
Christian Cage & Tomko & Randy Orton vs. D-Generation X
& Samoa Joe
ARE YOU READY? And now as the Action Zone becomes bathed in a green
glow, cheers echo around the arena and green X-shaped pyro fires from the entrance way, Triple H & Shawn Michaels make
their way through the curtain and down the ramp, wearing their wrestling-gear complete with UCW Meltdown ‘DX-Rated’
T-shirts, they step through the ropes and stand in the centre of the ring, as more pyro fires, performing their patented Crotch
Chops as the crowd goes wild for this huge moment. Then, as things calm down, Michaels reaches outside for a mic from the
time-keeper, before handing it to Triple H, who grabs it from his long-time friend and now says… “I could’ve
sworn this match was a 6-man tag, but we seem to be one person short, does anybody wanna take the place of Sloppy Joe and
be a part of DX for one night?” Then as HUGE cheers ring around the arena from the live crowd, HHH continues, saying…“Well
unfortunately, Shawn says it wouldn’t be fair to pick just one of you, but on the other hand you can still help me because
I have one more question to ask, are you ready? NO! I said…Are You Ready! Then, for the thousands in attendance, for
the millions watching at home…and for the precious, delicate flower Karen Angle, who since Sunday night has been re-acquainted
with her former professional career, with Kurt home alone, while she spends time flat on her back in someone else’s
bed!” And as the Action Zone crowd cheers, Triple H hands the mic to Shawn Michaels, saying…“And If You’re
Not Down With That…We’ve Got Two Words For YA…”
But as the entire live crowd join together as one voice to
shout…“SUCK IT!!!” suddenly attention turns towards the entrance way as proceedings are interrupted, while
The Game & HBK watch as the familiar entrance music of Samoa Joe sounds, before the Samoan Submission Machine himself
now gradually comes out into view, slowly making his way down the ramp with an intense expression upon his face, while the
crowd chant…“JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE!” And as DX both remain focused, Joe continues on his way
around the ringside area and calmly taking a seat next to JR, saying…“Since I really don’t trust either
one of my partners there, if you don’t mind, JR I would rather take a seat here and stay out of their way, until the
time is right…” As JR says…“That certainly is unusual Joe, but I really don’t think I can stop
you!!!” And as DX both look at one another in the ring, while Joe remains seated next to JR, questioning what exactly
the Samoan Submission Machine is trying to achieve, meanwhile the Legend Killer Randy Orton makes his entrance, posing on
the stage, before pausing and waiting for Christian Cage & Tomko to join him at ringside and, with DX taking a stand in
the ring and Joe at the announce table, slowly but surely, Tomko enters followed by Orton and Cage coming last, but remaining
on the apron, while on commentary JR informs us that on next week’s show, he has just heard that, the newly installed
Tag Team No.1 Contenders VKM will be live in the Action Zone. And as the ref calls for two men to meet in the centre of the
ring, HBK steps forward, hoping to get his hands on Christian Cage but finding Randy Orton the chosen starter, when Tomko
steps to the outside to join Cage on the apron. Triple H then looks away, stepping through the ropes and out onto the apron
and locking eyes with Samoa Joe, while in the ring as Orton squares up to Michaels, HBK looks past Orton at Cage, motioning
for him to tag in but Orton quickly gets Michaels’ attention with a slap, stinging the side of his face and, as the
bell rings, Orton steps towards Michaels, yelling…“Pay attention…to me!!!” But with Michaels stung
and caught off-guard, Triple H returns his attention to the match while Orton takes an early advantage, following-up the slap
with a solid right hand, backing Michaels away into the ropes. Orton then looks for an arm-whip but is reversed and HBK sends
him into the ropes, only for Orton to careen back off the ropes into Michaels, taking HBK down hard. Orton then poses for
a moment before turning and, as HBK now begins to stand, Orton hits the near ropes but Michaels drops down again to avoid
further contact, before Orton’s momentum takes him into the opposite ropes again as HBK stands, quickly taking Orton
down with a hip-toss. And with Orton arching his back, Michaels performs a patented Crotch Chop, before dragging Orton up
to his feet and quickly taking him back down with a side-headlock take-over, but Orton counters, catching Michaels’
head in a leg-scissors and quickly forcing HBK to break the hold. Then as both men spring to their feet, Orton lashes out
with a stiff thumb to the eye, followed-up by a standing dropkick, sending HBK down as Orton springs back up, posing again
before attempting a quick cover, only for Michaels to kick out instantly. Orton then drags Michaels to his feet and clubs
him back down from behind, connecting hard before stamping down on the back of HBK, weakening him further. Orton then begins
to take control, stamping down on every one of Michaels’ limbs, before attempting to pin him with a single foot, only
for the HBK to kick out again. Orton then delivers one final stamp, before backing-up and hitting the ropes and attempting
a knee drop, only for HBK to move at the last second, avoiding contact. Then as Orton crashes onto the mat, HBK takes a moment
before diving to the corner, reaching up to tag his partner The Game, who now enters the ring to a colossal cheer, while Orton
quickly scrambles to the ropes and reaches for a tag himself to escape, with Cage clearly not interested Tomko tags Orton
who enters to face HHH head-on. And as Michaels recovers himself on the apron, Triple H locks up with Tomko and, following
a number of even attempts, eventually The Game takes control of things, reversing the Big Man into the ropes and taking him
down with a Harley Race-style High Knee, followed-up by a quick cover, only for Tomko to kick out strongly. Then, as HHH drags
him up Tomko reverses him into the ropes, looking for a back-drop, before The Game counters with a patented Face Buster that
staggers Tomko back, before HHH now charges and takes him down with a HUGE running clothesline. Then as Tomko is surprisingly
quick back to his feet, he turns and charges for HHH, only to run directly into a Double-A Spine Buster, as The Games begins
to fire-up. But as Tomko staggers up and Triple H hooks him for the Pedigree, Orton enters, looking to save his team-mate
and aiming a wild right hander towards The Game. Triple H then ducks and releases his grip on Tomko, dropping him to the canvas,
before taking Orton down with a hard DDT. Then as the Legend Killer rolls away, Christian Cage looks to charge HHH from behind,
only for him to turn just in time, also taking Cage down with a DDT, then as the Instant Classic rolls to the apron, Triple
H drags Tomko back up for the Pedigree only to be taken down by a backdrop, before dropping back down himself and leaving
both Tomko and HHH on the canvas. With Joe still watching intently and Orton & Cage attempting to clear their heads, Triple
H now tags Michaels back in, as Tomko staggers to his feet to confront him, only for HBK to enter like a man possessed, connecting
with several stinging chops, backing Tomko into the ropes. Tomko though is able to reverse HBK into the ropes, only for Michaels
to come back with his now patented spectacular Flying Fore-arm, taking Tomko down and then nipping-up to a HUGE reaction from
the live crowd. And with Tomko remaining down, Michaels then climbs up to the top turnbuckle, standing on the corner post
and preparing to deliver his patented Flying Elbow Drop. But as HBK gets ready to fly, Christian Cage reaches up unsighted
from ringside, catching Michaels off-guard and shoving him down from the top rope to the canvas, causing HBK to crash land
next to Tomko. As HHH becomes animated on the apron, before reaching out for a tag as Michaels languishes on the canvas, next
to Tomko, Samoa Joe gets to his feet, stepping away from the announce table for a closer look. And as HBK begins to crawl
towards his corner and Tomko prepares to tag out, suddenly Joe yanks Triple H down off the apron, sending him sprawling to
the floor. And with Michaels left alone with no one to tag, The Game gets angrily to his feet, turning to face Joe and quickly
diving towards the Samoa Submission Machine, aggressively forcing Joe back into the guard-rail, as they exchange heavy punches,
before sprawling up-and-over the rail and into the crowd, such is their intensity and, meanwhile back in the ring, as Triple
H & Samoa Joe brawl away and out of sight, Orton is first to tag Tomko while Cage remonstrates with the ref after his
interference. And with the Legend Killer entering the ring, he charges across at HBK from behind, with Michaels reaching-up
for a tag to no one Orton plunges a stiff, solid right hand, deep into the back of HBK, causing Michaels to yell out in pain,
as he rolls over, before Orton then drags Michaels into the centre of the ring and then up to his feet, slowly turning him
around into his patented Inverted Back Breaker, taking him down. Then as the crowd fear for Michaels’ health in the
brutal hands of the Legend Killer, Randy now lowers himself to the canvas and begins to stalk Michaels for the RKO, crouching
down and striking the canvas with his knuckles, waiting for HBK to rise. But as Michaels does gradually stagger to his feet
and Orton quickly leaps to strike, somehow HBK reacts purely out of instinct and shoves Orton off and away from him, sending
the Legend Killer sprawling forwards as Michaels himself staggers to remain up-right, only for Orton to stop himself against
the ropes and quickly turn around, charging back at Michaels who just as quickly adjusts his body position to counter, taking
Orton down with a miraculous drop-toe-hold and allowing himself a moment, arching his back and pulling himself up on the ropes
as Orton slams down to the mat. HBK then begins to build momentum again, helping Orton to his feet by his hair, before backing
him into the ropes with a barrage of knife-edge-chops and right hands, only to get reversed into the far ropes by Orton, before
coming back with a second, spectacular Flying Fore-arm, taking down the Legend Killer and nipping-up again. Michaels then
charges across and quickly nails Christian down off of the apron, before firing-up for the crowd and delivering a succession
of running clotheslines, followed by an atomic drop and a mid-ring body slam to Orton, keeping him down. Then while the referee
pays attention to Tomko on the apron and Cage at ringside, Shawn now climbs to the top rope and comes flying off the top with
an Elbow Drop, landing on Orton, then getting to his feet and firing-up with passion, all over again, before beginning to
stamp his foot repeatedly on the canvas, tuning-up the band. However as Orton slowly begins to stir and clears his head, with
Cage still down, Tomko enters the ring to save the match for his team, but as Michaels now sees him, Tomko runs directly into
Sweet Chin Music as HBK connects firmly on the jaw, sending Tomko down hard to the mat and rolling under the bottom rope to
the outside, only for Michaels to turn back around towards Orton, straight into a devastating RKO, before the Legend Killer
covers HBK for the 1-2-3 as the referee makes the count, giving Orton the pin fall victory. Then as the ref raises his hand
in a show of victory, Orton quickly frees his hand and performs his trademark pose, basking in the glory, before climbing
to the top of the nearest turnbuckle-post and, at the top of his voice, yelling…“Wooooo!!!” mocking the
absent presence of Sting and, as the crowd jeer, Orton drops down off the top rope and rolls to the outside, heading back
up the ramp, motioning all the way around his waist, having made a huge step towards a title shot, before making his way through
the curtain and out of sight as we prepare to go off air, while back in the ring we now see Christian Cage slowly getting
back to his feet and, rolling into the ring with HBK lying flat on his back following the effects of the RKO, Cage begins
to smile sadistically to himself while standing dominantly above Shawn, before crouching down on one knee as his smile begins
to grow into a maniacal laugh, along with the crowds jeering, as the show now firmly comes to an end, with JR, saying…“Shawn
Michaels certainly gave it the very best effort he could muster King, but having been left 3-on-1 the odds finally caught-up
with the Heartbreak Kid but, for Christian Cage to react like this, almost taking credit for Michaels’ downfall here,
having been reluctant to even tag in to face HBK during the match…I’m Disgusted!”
