UCW Meltdown – November 7 – Wednesday Night Action Zone

As the opening strains of Guns’ N’ Roses’ Welcome to the Jungle blast from the screen, we are shown brief highlights from last weeks edition of UCW Meltdown. Cornette announced that Sting would defend the UCW Title at Devils Night on PPV, against Kurt Angle & Samoa Joe in a Triple Threat Match, before action begun, seeing VKM score a victory before Triple H appeared live upon the Big Screen, challenging Kip & BG to meet him in the ring later that night to settle things for good. The Hardy Boys then reaffirmed their goal of a Tag Team Title opportunity before champions LAX scored a victory ahead of their PPV Tables Match with Team 3D. Sting then came to the ring to speak to the crowd, admitting to some recent self-doubt, before thanking the crowd for their support and for standing by him no matter what. Randy Orton then came out to confront Sting, but following several harsh words, Sting granted Orton’s request for a UCW Title shot, if Orton watches Sting’s back. Backstage Samoa Joe confronted Kurt Angle, before Angle gave Joe a proposition that they team-up on Sting to take him out and settle for the title between themselves. Christian Cage then accompanied Tomko to the ring to face the Undertaker only for Abyss to come to ringside and chase Cage away, before Taker made his entrance. During the match, Cage then returned without Abyss, distracting the Dead Man and allowing Tomko to take the advantage before both men then began and beat down, causing a DQ only for Abyss to come to the ring again, again searching for Cage. Abyss then helped to clear the ring before he and Undertaker gave Cage & Tomko double Choke Slams and another strange message from Kane came on the Big Screen. Then finally as Triple H made his way to the ring, VKM quickly interrupted HHH, before The Game introduced his Tag Team partner, for a match at Devils Night, namely the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels, now bringing together D-Generation-X!

Backstage we then see a single camera shot of both Triple H and Shawn Michaels, standing side-by-side facing the screen and wearing new DX T-shirts, as HHH says… “Just in-case you don’t know…I am The Game, Triple H…the King of Kings and, standing right by my side is the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels…the Showstoppa! Now together we form the most dominant force this business has EVER seen and, tonight live before the eyes of the televised world…Meltdown Will Be DX-Rated!!!” And following these words, both HHH & HBK then reach into their jean pockets, pulling out a can of Spray Paint each, and then raising them up to the TV screen, before Triple H sprays a ‘D’ and Michaels sprays an ‘X’ onto the camera screen, obscuring the camera picture with the letters…DX…as the camera now cuts away.

WATCH OUT FOR THE BOMBFALL! And following the opening of the live show, the crowd in the Action Zone greets the arrival of Team 3D with hostile jeering and, while Brother Ray & Brother Devon make their way through the curtain into view with Ray ahead and Devon walking behind with both men carrying a folding table between them, hoisted-up above their heads, holding it high aloft for everyone to see, then as Team 3D near the ring, they lower the table and rest in down on the apron, before entering the ring themselves and then setting the table up on it’s four legs, while Brother Ray then calls for a mic, as Devon stands by the table and Ray says… “In this life, in this business there is always someone better than you at everything, whether you are a ‘Gun Fighter’ in the Wild West or a ‘Swash Buckling’ Pirate or, UCW Tag Team Champions…now LAX will learn this the hard way at Devils Night! Because TABLES & TITLES are what Team 3D is all about and come this Sunday, you will all see the results and the evidence to support it…when we have both… Devon and I, form the Greatest Tag Team in this business and the most dominant, now LAX can talk about ‘Thug Life’ and ‘Street Life’ but none of it even matters… After FOUR months of being lied to by Jim Cornette about our Tag Team Titles, being pursued by ‘Gang Bangers’ and being given the Raw Deal around this place, Devils Night is the end of an era…the last meeting between LAX and Team 3D!!! And just like we have said all along, the Tag Team Titles are ours and on Sunday, they are coming home…when we crash Homicide or Hernandez through this Table. Now, the past few weeks have been building to this one, single night live on PPV, Devon and I have put BOTH Homicide & Hernandez through tables individually, now how hard can it be to put ONE of them through a table to win OUR match? Remember people, this is 3D-country and nobody comes out ALIVE…Right Devon?” Then as Devon grabs the mic from Brother Ray, he yells at the top of his voice, saying…“Oh My Brother…TESTIFY!!!” But as 3D high-5 in the middle of the ring, attention turns to the Big Screen where the image of Homicide & Hernandez appears, both standing backstage facing the camera and displaying the Tag Team Title Belts, when Homicide says…“Oh Brother Ray, Devon, or should I call you by other names? Stay Puffed and Fat Albert…Just take a minute to listen to someone else for a change, because it seems like you have been doing a lot of talking lately but not backing it up! Sure thing Homes, you put me and my partner through tables, we can deal with that, but payback is a B*TCH and Sunday at Devils Night is gonna be the end for YOU!” Brother Ray then grabs the mic and, as the crowd show support for LAX, Ray says… “Ya know something, it’s REAL tough to talk when you’re backstage on the screen, but how about you come out here and face us and we can get down to business?” Homicide then says…“Yo, do you think we’re STUPID essay? We may be Latino, but that don’t mean we’re Loco…with that table in the ring, you have the advantage. Now this Sunday we will face you at your own game, but tonight if you want us early, you’re gonna have to play us at our game…Thug style, straight-up Street Justice, ok? That means if you want us; come get us…But You Gotta Find Us First, Comprende?” Then, as the image of Homicide & Hernandez fades from view on the Big Screen, Brother Ray & Devon look at each other, before stepping through the ropes while, Brother Ray says…“Production guys, get your cameras ready, because tonight, somewhere backstage in the Action Zone…There is Gonna Be a Damn Street Fight!”

And as Team 3D make their way up the ramp towards the entrance in search of LAX, we join JR & King at ringside for a rundown of the events on tonight’s Meltdown as, JR says…“Well King, we are now only FOUR days away from Devils Night on PPV and as we have been told, tonight Meltdown will be DX-Rated and I just can’t wait!” King says…“Right JR, and tonight as well as at Devils Night I think we and VKM, will see that no matter all the imitations, there is only ONE true D-Generation-X…” JR says…“But that is not all and, as Team 3D head off in search of the LAX, Meltdown cameras are being placed all over the backstage area in the Action Zone, attempting to locate Homicide & Hernandez…as well as the pursuit by Team 3D!” King says… “Also tonight we will see two HUGE match-ups with consequences, when Christian Cage w/ Tomko goes 1-on-1 against The Monster Abyss and then, The Icon Sting teams with Randy Orton to take-on Kurt Angle & Samoa Joe, but with obvious trust issue on both sides, it is sure to be intense with Devils Night looming!” Then JR says…“But before any of that, let’s begin with our first live in-ring action…”

MATCH 1 Hardy Boys vs. Finlay & Regal

With their opponents having made their way to the ring, the Hardy Boys now enter, along with a loud reception from the female and younger male fans in attendance, performing in front of the live Action Zone crowd with an eager sense of youth, hoping to build momentum in their quest for a shot at the UCW Tag Team Titles. And, as the bell sounds, the match gets off to a very fast start with the Hardy Boy’s showing off their high-flying artillery, which soon allows them to gain the advantage, until a brief double-team gives the edge to Finlay & Regal, to disdain from the crowd. However, despite the under-handed tactics and ruthless manoeuvres of both Finlay and Regal, eventually Matt & Jeff battle back from adversity to earn the victory, joining forces to successfully deliver the Twist-of-Fate, followed by a Swanton-Bomb for the 1-2-3, receiving the applause and adulation of the crowd for their great efforts.

Backstage our cameras now catch sight of Team 3D stalking down the hallways, searching for LAX, knocking on random doors on either side of the long corridor, shouting…“Come on ‘Essay’ you can’t hide forever! Why don’t you clean my pool, mow my grass or cook me a Hot Dog…because you can’t beat us in a Street Fight!” Then, 3D come to a door marked…‘Samoa Joe’…Brother Ray ushers Devon over, saying…“Latinos, Samoans…it’s all the same anyway…so, I bet they’re in here…” But when Devon knocks on the door and it opens, it is not Samoa Joe but Kurt Angle who opens it, saying…“Do you guys mind, this is an important tactical discussion… You’re lucky we’re just about done for now…I’ll see you out there later, ok Joe?” Then, as Angle closes the door behind him and leaves, Brother Ray now says… “Devon, how come we never have ‘Tactical Discussions’? I think it could be good…” But Devon says…“Because ‘discussion’ usually leads to ‘Doughnut Break’ with you, now lets just keep looking for LAX because they gotta be around here somewhere!” Brother Ray says…“Hey, Devon is that a FAT joke? Do you think I’m over-weight, because I’m not and, our Mum always told me I’m not fat…I’m just Big Boned…” But as Devon walks away and Brother Ray attempts to hold his gut in, we cut away.

We then join JB with Matt & Jeff Hardy, following another impressive victory and, JB says…“Matt & Jeff, you have certainly been on a roll and tonight it continued, with another impressive victory and the Action Zone where behind you all the way?” Matt then says…“JB, we can’t allow this to go to our heads, we need to stay focused, because after Devils Night…whether it’s Team 3D or LAX, we want our shot and…” But before he can finish, Matt is then interrupted by BG & Kip James, as BG says… “Hold the phone, now me and my partner could not help over-hearing what you said, but far be it from me to interrupt…so please continue! But if you were finished then, allow me to retort because like I said last week…if you or anybody else want a shot, at the Tag Team Titles…You have to come through VKM, so listen-up hardy BOYS! BG & Kip are the VK-Men and if you want the chance to take a look how we do it, rumour has it that DX plan to host an Official Re-Union in the ring later tonight so, pay attention and because B-Jizzle & K-Pizzle plan on crashing that party, ourselves!” Then Kip says…“And just like at Devils Night, and just like the dinosaurs they are, tonight we are gonna make DX become D-extinct…and after that, if you boys want, VKM might make you next if you keep on talking about wanting what we want…” And as VKM turn away, Matt & Jeff watch them leave, then turn towards each-other, while JB says…“Competition is certainly heating-up in the Tag Team Division JR, with 3D searching for LAX…and several teams eyeing the No.1 Contender spot…”

MATCH 2 Abyss vs. Christian Cage w/ Tomko

With Cage and Tomko having made their entrance with tremendous self-grandeur, they stand in the ring as Cage removes his flashy ring-jacket and matching trousers, before handing them to Tomko and then scaling the turnbuckle to salute his Peeps. The live crowd then erupts loudly for the arrival of Abyss into the Action Zone, welcoming The Monster as he comes out with his eyes focused on gaining revenge. Then, as the ref gives both men their instructions and Tomko steps to the outside, things begin with Abyss stepping forward and Cage taking a slight step backwards, placing his foot through the ropes and out onto the apron to back Abyss off of him. Then, with the crowd firmly on the side of The Monster, both men step forward again, into a stiff collar-and-elbow tie-up, before Abyss over-powers his smaller opponent, violently shoving the Instant Classic away and down to the mat to a huge cheer. Then, as Abyss advances and Cage tries to stand, The Monster clubs him across the back, before dragging him to his feet and sending his across the ring into the far corner, quickly following up with a stiff clothesline. In control, Abyss then roars aloud before stepping back and ramming his knee deep into the rib-cage of his wounded opponent, three, four and five times before several vicious stomps to the leg slump Cage down. Abyss then drug Christian to his feet, before hoisting him up for the Shock Treatment, but Cage senses the danger and quickly drops down to his feet and rolls to the outside. And as Abyss follows suit, rolling out after Cage and giving chase around ringside, the ref keeps his eye on Tomko as they pass-by before Cage rolls into the ring first, with Abyss following him just behind and, as Cage then hurriedly hits the far ropes, as The Monster stands he swings and misses with a wild clothesline as Cage ducks, then as Cage hits the far ropes and Abyss turns, Cage comes back with a Cross Body, only for Abyss to catch Christian in mid-air, but as Abyss now staggers backwards, holding Cage in his grasp, his momentum now takes The Monster back into the ropes, when Tomko grabs his ankle. Abyss then drops Cage to the canvas and turns around, looking to confront Tomko and as Cage keeps the referee distracted inside the ring, Tomko drags Abyss’ head and throat down across the top rope and, staggering him around into the path of Cage who leaves the referee and catches Abyss with a stiff, well-placed kick to the gut before stepping behind The Monster and hooking arms, turning him around into the Unprettier, only for Abyss dig deeply down inside and, with one final burst of brute force The Monster shoves Cage off and away from him, sending him stumbling forwards into the ropes and, as Cage then turns around again, Abyss roars aloud and throttles the Instant Classic around the throat with authority, only for Tomko to enter the ring, clubbing Abyss in the back of the head from behind. And as the ref calls for the bell ending things with a DQ and Abyss releases his grip, The Monster staggers forwards and as Cage now drops down and rolls to the outside, Tomko turns Abyss around and swings again, but this time The Monster blocks it, before coming back with a succession of hard rights of his own rocking Tomko back. But Tomko comes back himself with a knee to the mid-section, winding The Monster, before backing Abyss into the ropes but as he tries to send Abyss back across the ring, The Monster reverses this and sends Tomko into the far ropes and as he hits them, Abyss stands firm in the centre of the ring, connecting with a powerful high Big Boot, sending Tomko down and then crossing his arm and roaring aloud with vengeance. But as Cage reaches into the ring and drags Tomko to the outside, away from Abyss, Cage claims a mic from ringside and, as Abyss now advances towards the ring-ropes, Cage says…“STOP! Stop right there you Frankenstein freak-of-nature, hold it there! There are two of US and one of YOU…so if you wanna do this, lets make it official, because the Instant Classic plays best on PPV…and Devils Night is coming-up soon. Abyss, if you wanna face both of us we’ll do it this Sunday…2-on-1 Handicap match, because there is nobody here who would want to be your partner…Nobody at all…”

LIGHTS OUT! But at that very moment, as the crowd erupts into a deafening cheer, suddenly the arena lights cut-out and we hear a single bell tolling in the distance, briefly shrouding the Action Zone in complete darkness, before the lights soon return. But as the light returns, Cage & Tomko are now stunned to see the Undertaker appear, standing tall in the ring behind Abyss and dressed to compete without his hat for coat. And as Cage & Tomko slowly back away up the entrance ramp, Abyss turns around, standing face-to-face with the Dead Man who offers only his usual blank expression before The Monster turns and faces the entrance way again, crossing his arm and, following the exit of Cage & Tomko, Abyss now roars aloud as Taker remains still, while we cut away from ringside with JR and King in shock at this turn of events, while the live crowd cheer for this unholy union between the Undertaker and Abyss.

Backstage we now join JB with the man of the hour, Randy Orton, before JB asks… “Randy Orton, things certainly move quickly in this business, maybe too quickly, because two weeks ago when Sting was granted the chance to name his challenger, rather than yourself…He chose Kurt Angle, but also gave Samoa Joe his title shot… Then, you attempted to gain revenge by attacking a weakened Sting later that night, although to no avail and then just last week you confronted Sting one more time, attempting to extort a UCW Title Match from the champion…but when you failed, Sting surprisingly offered you the chance to earn a shot at his UCW Championship, this time by respecting his wishes and watching his back…leading up to Devils Night. Now, with Kurt Angle & Samoa Joe having seemingly formed their own alliance too, the announcement came from Jim Cornette last week that tonight our Main Event sees Joe & Angle team-up to face yourself & the Stinger, only 4-days before Devils Night. Now Randy, my question to you is simply this…how much can Sting count on you, considering that you are known for taking out the BIGGEST names in this business, and also considering the fact you crave the one thing that Sting holds dearest of all, namely the UCW Championship…and that cannot be a healthy team atmosphere?” But Orton says…“First of all JB, YES I am the Legend Killer for a very good reason, but Sting is no LEGEND although he is every inch an ICON…for millions of fans. Secondly JB, my parents raised me the right way and seriously, my word is my bond! Now tonight I intend to do one thing and that is watch the back of my team-mate, back-up my partner and do everything you’d expect from a worthy No.1 Contender… Because when Sting and I walk-out to that ring tonight, we will be going side-by-side, but after Devils Night…the moment the final bell sounds…Sting becomes my enemy! So to answer your question JB, YES tonight you and everybody else including Sting, can trust Randy Orton and, as long as Sting lives up to his end of the deal, so will I… For I will not lay a finger on The Icon, except to tag him…You Have My Word…” And as Orton turns away, leaving JB alone, as he heads back to the locker room, Borash says…“JR, we can only take Orton at his word, unless he proves otherwise…”

Backstage our cameras again catch sight of Team 3D stalking down the hallways, searching for LAX, knocking on random doors on either side of the long corridor, shouting…“If you guys are chicken, why don’t you just hand us those belts now, Sunday night we’re coming for everything you have…but now we want to fight!” Then as Team 3D advance further, they pass the door to the GMs office and then stop, as Devon says…“Hold on a second, if we wanna know where the LAX are hiding, then who better to ask than the man who runs the show around here…The Boss?” And as Brother Ray stops to consider this, he actually agrees with Devon before knocking on the door and without waiting for a reply they burst inside, saying… “Now Jim, we know you’re our boss but we are passed the point of caring right now, so just tell us where LAX are hiding and we will get out of your way immediately!” But with Cornette sitting behind his desk, with Melina sat to the side of the desk, Cornette says…“Who the hell do you two think you’re talking too, at this moment? This is not the time or the place to be barging in when I am trying to work, OK…” But Brother Ray says…“Just tell us where LAX are and we’ll get outta your way!” But Melina says…“Excuse me, but I think I know where you can kind the LAX… Just follow me and I’ll take you to where they are…if that’s ok, Mr. Cornette?” Cornette then says…“Sure, why not, it’s not like you have any more work to do!” Then, as Melina gets up from her seat and walks passed Brother Ray and Devon, heading out of the office, when Team 3D turn and follow her into the corridor, Cornette says quietly…“I hate it when she leaves, but I love to see her walk away!” before shaking his head then getting back to work with some papers on his desk, while we now cut away with Melina apparently leading Team 3D towards the LAX.

MAIN EVENT Sting & Randy Orton vs. Kurt Angle & Samoa Joe

With all four men having made their ways to the ring with Randy Orton & Sting sharing a word and a handshake before the match, with the crowd cheering for Sting, Kurt Angle & Samoa Joe also share a word as Angle & Sting step to the outside, leaving Orton and Joe to begin the contest as the referee calls for the opening bell. And, as Joe and Orton lock-up, the crowd begin chanting…“JOE…JOE…JOE!!!” while Orton quickly applies an aggressive standing side-headlock onto Samoa Joe, before Joe shoves Orton off and across the ring sending him away and into the ropes, only for Orton’s momentum off the ropes to carry into the advancing Samoa Joe, sending Joe down. Orton then pauses for a moment, before dragging Joe back up, attempting to send him into the ropes, but as Joe then reverses the manoeuvre and sends Orton across the ring and into the far ropes, this time as Orton careens back off, Joe steps forwards and takes Orton down with stiff-arm clothesline before standing and running his thumb across his throat as the crowd cheer in support of Joe’s actions. And with Orton looking stunned from the move as Joe drags him to his feet again, now Joe takes Orton down with a snap-mare before connecting with a vicious slap across his back, followed by a kick to the chest and finally hitting the far side ropes and scoring with a knee drop right on the point of Orton’s skull, then making a cover, before Orton kicks out after a 1-count. And with the crowd still in support of Joe, slowly the Samoan Submission Machine drags Orton to his feet in an arm-wringer, before reaching out and tagging Angle into the ring and, as Kurt steps towards Orton, he connects with a hard right hand to the gut, winding Randy and doubling him over, before Joe releases his hold and steps to the apron, leaving Kurt in-control of things. And as the crowd now show support for Kurt, he rocks Orton’s head backwards following a stiff European uppercut, before backing him into the ropes behind him, then sending him across the ring and moving in to follow-up as Orton hits the ropes, quickly taking the Legend Killer down with a sneaky knee to the mid-section and, with Sting looking worried on the apron, Angle drops down to make a quick cover,

only for Orton to kick out, before Kurt hurriedly takes Orton back down again, following the application of a side-headlock take-over, as Angle now takes control. But eventually, as the crowd comes alive and Orton digs deeply to fight the hold, Orton battles back up to a solid vertical base before breaking out of Angle’s hold with several rapid fire elbows to the gut, but as Randy then hits the ropes for momentum, Angle stops him there in his tracks, clamping his arms around the waist of Orton and taking him down with an overhead-release belly-to-belly suplex, getting to his feet, yelling…“YEAH!!!” before quickly turning and charging to the opposing corner, nailing Sting with a huge right hand, sending him down off the apron to the outside, and with Sting taken out of action Kurt begins to stalk Orton for an Olympic Slam. But as the Legend Killer rises and Angle hooks his arm and hoists Orton off his feet, however Randy is able to counter into a low arm-drag, sending Angle across the ring, before getting to his feet and as both men charge, Orton is now the first to connect, leaping up and taking Angle down to the mat with his patented standing dropkick and, with both men going down after this, the race is now on to see who can make the tag, but with Sting slowly getting back on the apron, eventually Angle tags Joe back in,  while Orton gets to his feet and waits for Sting as Joe quickly comes up behind him, clamping his arms around the head of Orton to apply the vicious Kokina Clutch and, as Sting now reaches into the ring while Orton flails his arm around to fight the hold, before Joe can fall back to the mat, Orton manages to reach for a tag to the Stinger, who quickly enters and charges across the ring, nailing Angle down off the apron, returning the favour as Samoa Joe releases his grip on Randy Orton, who rolls away, before Sting and Joe now turn to face one another as Joe lashes out with a wild swing, which Sting blocks and then comes back to connect with a hard right of his own, before lashing out with a stiff kick to the gut, then connecting with several rapid-fire right hand shots and back hand chops, followed-up by another stiff kick to the gut. And as the crowd comes alive, Sting forcefully forces Joe back against the ropes, sending him into the far ropes and taking him down with a high-elevation backdrop. And with Sting now feeling the momentum change, he advances towards Joe, dragging him back up and connecting with an atomic drop, before hitting the ropes. But as Sting comes off the ropes, looking for a clothesline, Joe now steps forwards, countering with his patented Snap Slam and slamming Sting down onto the canvas. But, as Joe makes the cover, Sting only just gets his shoulder up after a long 2-count, and with Angle & Orton both down on the outside follow this gruelling tag match, when Joe drags Sting up and attempts to apply the Kokina Clutch from behind him, suddenly Sting turns and miraculously counters this into a modified inside cradle, only for Joe to kick out after a brief 1-count and as Joe beats Sting back to his feet, when Sting gets up Joe clatters him down with a brutalising stiff-arm clothesline, before dragging Sting up and sending him into the far corner and then charging, connecting with another hard clothesline, crushing the Stinger against the turnbuckle. And with Sting going limp, Joe drags him up and hoists him onto the turnbuckle post, before dragging Sting down onto his shoulders and looking for the Muscle Buster, however as Joe steps backwards to deliver the move, Orton reaches into the ring, grabbing Joe’s ankle and dragging him off-balance, sending him falling backwards, down to the mat while Sting counters into a mid-air Cross Body as Joe falls backward, then with Orton holding Joe’s feet on the canvas unseen by all including his partner, while Sting makes the cover and the referee makes the official count, 1……2……3! Sting pins Samoa Joe to win the match, while at ringside Orton begins to celebrate, before Samoa Joe quickly gets to his feet after the match, locking eyes with Orton, and as Sting rolls away into the centre of the ring, Joe instantly rolls to the outside, while Randy Orton turns and quickly heads up the ramp with Joe in fast pursuit as, back in the ring Sting gets to his feet with his arm raised in victory by the referee, totally unaware of the actions of Orton, as he is now handed the UCW Championship. And with Joe quickly chasing Orton away, through the curtain and out of our sight, Sting raises the UCW Title Belt high into the air as he looks out into the crowd, before Kurt Angle gets to his feet on the outside and now rolls back into the ring, quickly advancing behind the UCW Champion and clubbing him across the back, buckling him at the knees before clamping his arms around the waist of the Stinger, taking him down with a high-overhead-release German suplex. Getting to his feet, Angle then yells…“YEAH!!!” before dragging Sting back to his feet and this time, taking him down with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex, and yelling aloud again… “YEAH!!!” before now removing his shoulder straps and with Sting defenceless, having been attacked from behind and with the UCW Title Belt lying on the mat, Angle then moves quickly with the crowd now gasping for breath at these scenes, while Sting arches his back as Angle comes from behind, with pure aggression, grabbing the foot of The Icon and looking to apply the devastating Ankle Lock and, with the crowd on the edge of their seat, Angle then tries to cinch in the submission, only for Sting to find a burst of energy and as Angle looks to turn him onto his back, Sting lashes out with both feet and quickly kicks Angle half away across the ring. Then with Kurt getting to his feet and Sting slowly to his, as Angle now charges, Sting thinking quickly leaps to connect with a patented standing dropkick to Angle, taking him down before moving quickly to grab Kurt’s legs and turning him over into the Scorpion Death Lock, then sitting down hard on the lower back of Kurt Angle, increasing the pain with every second as the Olympic Gold Medallist begins to writhe, almost crying out from the pain before frantically tapping his hands down on the mat, submitting to the pain, before attention now turns back towards the entrance ramp, when Samoa Joe now makes his way back through the curtain without Randy Orton, as Sting releases his hold on Angle and gets to his feet, while Kurt rolls to the outside, Joe now advances down the ramp, until pausing half-way and locking eyes with Sting, then with the crowd hushed Joe now motions across his waist for the UCW Title Belt before pointing his finger directly at Sting and clearly mouthing the familiar words… “It’s Showtime!” and then running his thumb across his throat with determination, while JR says…“Tonight, Sting proved that he can handle the pressure as champion, but can he survive against two men who have proven themselves against him before? And with the UCW Title at stake Sunday, in a Triple Threat Match, anything goes!”

And as Sting stands his ground in the ring with Joe backing away up the ramp again, we now cut away and our cameras catch sight of Team 3D backstage with Melina, with her leading them down the hallway passed a sign that reads…“Parking Garage” as Brother Ray says…“We thought that Cornette would know where LAX were but, how come you know where they are, I mean you’re just a secretary, what’s the deal?” But Melina says…“Well remember, I’m Latin like LAX, now it’s through there…” And as Melina stops, gesturing towards the big open double doors that lead outside, into the Parking Area, Team 3D walk passed her as Brother Ray again questions… “You might be Latin, but how do you know where LAX are hiding? Just tell us…” and as Team 3D walk through the open doors and outside into the Parking Area, Melina says…“Because they told me…” and then the camera shot changes position, showing 3D standing outside in the Parking Area, as the doors close behind them, revealing Homicide & Hernandez standing behind them, as 3D hear the doors shut, quickly turning only for Homicide & Hernandez to jump on Brother Ray & Devon, attacking them with full force with a barrage of heavy right hands without warning. Homicide goes after Brother Devon and Hernandez works over Brother Ray and, when the fight really breaks out into a full-scale brawl with Team 3D fighting back, LAX again now gain the upper-hand with their tough street thug style serving them, before we now hear the sound of police sirens in the backstage and flashing red lights, as Hernandez and Homicide beat-down 3D leaving them lying on the concrete floor, as Homicide says…“You got lucky, tonight …but Sunday the Police can’t save you!” And Hernandez says…“Sunday at Devils Night…You will Live and Die in LAX…” and as the Police sirens get louder and the flashing red lights get closer and brighter, Homicide reaches toward our screen and grabs the camera, turning the image fuzzy, before we cut away to re-join JR & King back at ringside live in the Action Zone.

And with the crowd now buzzing following that footage from the Parking Garage, now JR says…“Folks, I cannot begin to comment on what we have just seen happen, however I do know that LAX & Team 3D will be in action this Sunday live on PPV, competing for final time for the UCW Tag Team Championships in a Tables Match, the first team to put an opponent through a table is the winner and the champions…” King then says…“Also JR, we have a HUGE Triple Threat match for the UCW Title, featuring the champion Sting vs. Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe and it is anyone’s pick!” JR says…“Well, as I have said before, until someone proves that they can beat Sting, then I will always put my money on our champion…but over the past few weeks here, both Angle & Samoa Joe have proven they can beat Sting…so I really can’t choose. But King, right now I am hearing in my headset that just being added to Devils Night, by Jim Cornette, is another Special Tag Team Match featuring the most unlikely team of Abyss & the Undertaker taking on the Instant Classic Christian Cage & Tomko!!!” King says…“Wow JR, that’s huge, but also we have perhaps the most personal match on the card when former friends & allies VKM battle the re-united D-Generation-X!” JR says…“Certainly there is a lot of history there between those two partnerships and, that leads us very nicely into our final segment tonight…the DX-Rated Re-Union…”

ARE YOU READY? And now as the Action Zone becomes bathed in a green glow, cheers echo around the arena and green X-shaped pyro fires from the entrance way, Triple H & Shawn Michaels make their way through the curtain and down the ramp, wearing their wrestling-gear complete with UCW Meltdown ‘DX-Rated’ T-shirts, they step through the ropes and stand in the centre of the ring, as more pyro fires, performing their patented Crotch Chops as the crowd goes wild for this huge moment. Then, as things calm down, Michaels reaches outside for a mic from the time-keeper, before handing it to Triple H, who grabs it from his long-time friend and now says… “In life, there are many questions…everyday people asked different things but now, there is only one question that matters and, it’s really quite simple, I wanna know… Are You Ready? NO, I said…Are You Ready! Then, for the thousands in attendance, for the millions watching around the world…and for BG & Kip James from VKM, who despite both almost being in their 40s…still think it’s cool for white people to talk Jive…I mean seriously, do those guys even realise that ‘Ali G’ was a gimmick? Well anyway…Let’s Get Ready To SUCK IT!!!” and as Triple H hands the mic over, giving it to HBK, the cheers continue as Michaels says his first words on Meltdown, saying…“And if you’re not down with that…We’ve Just Got Two Words For YA!” then after the entire crowd yells together as one voice…SUCK IT! HBK continues, saying…“Triple H my friend, it feels really good to be back, in these colours again, but please bare with me because I have a confession to make…and here it comes, when VKM receive that ‘Legal Notice’ a few weeks ago, when they arrived here, preventing them from saying a lot of the things they were known for it was a mystery. And I know that Hunter, you took some of the HEAT for that, and I do apologise, because it wasn’t you it was ME! Because as humble as I am and as happy as I am, when you’re sitting at home watching the TV and you see two guys raising hell, causing trouble and making controversy…that’s OK, but when those guys are VKM, who only made a name for themselves by carrying my bags and riding my coat tails, back in the day…that’s a little hard to take…and I tried to turn the other cheek but, sometimes you need to take a stand…and the only man that ever stood by my side, through thick and thin is the same man standing by me now…The Game, Triple H! And for all their talk, VKM were never in our league and everybody knows it so, when Triple H called me up and he said…‘HBK…it’s time to get back in the saddle!’ I said OK, because it’s time to teach those two VKM punks a lesson DX Style and, come Devils Night they’re gonna know who the BOSSES are inside this very ring!”

But as attention now turns towards the entrance way, surprisingly it is not VKM, instead Eric Young makes his way down the ramp, dressed in jeans & a T-shirt, Young slowly comes down the ramp, as the crowd and DX seem totally confused. Then, as EY climbs the steps and enters the ring, he asks for the mic from HBK, saying…“Hey you guys, um…I don’t mean to interrupt but I just couldn’t resist, because I’ve always been a HUGE fan of DX since I watched you when I was a kid. And you probably know I’ve been hanging around here recently the last few weeks, and I really want to come over to Meltdown but Shane McMahon won’t talk to me! He won’t give me a meeting or anything and I don’t know about Jim Cornette either, so anyway…My good friend Kevin Nash has been giving me advice recently and, Kevin told me to speak to you…because nobody has more power than the…KLIQ!” Then as both DX members shrug their shoulder in agreement, as the crowd laugh, HHH claims the mic saying…“Well, Eric we’d love to really wanna help you out and, well any friend of Big Sexy is a friend of DX…and if it pisses off Shane all the better! So I’ll tell you what, here is your own all-new…UCW Meltdown ‘DX-Rated’ T-shirt, that’s only available on-line at ‘UCWuprising.tripod.com/merchandise’ and now Eric, just as a show of good faith…Shawn will even give you the shirt off his own back…” Then as HBK rolls his eyes, he then removes his T-shirt and hands it to Eric Young, before HHH says…“Now consider yourself an honorary member of D-Generation-X, and we’ll see about talking to Cornette about that job but right now you need to leave, why don’t you go sit down there, next to JR & King because we have business now?”

911-EMERGENCY! And as the now familiar music plays out over the sound system, Eric Young quickly leaves the ring with Michaels’ shirt in his hands, as VKM enter, but when BG & Kip James make their way through the curtain and into the arena, they are not alone as they advance to the ring, drawing jeers from the crowd because, they are joined by Kenny Dykstra…as both Triple H & HBK look on with confusion, before the 3-men stop half-way down the ramp and, with a mic in hand, BG James says…“Now you guys can talk all you want about who carried who’s baggage before, but Devils Night is coming-up and this Sunday Shawn, you’re gonna have to pray, but pray real well because VKM are gonna take you down and we’re gonna do it in style! With me, the B…to the G…to the Jizzle, my partner, the K…to the I… to the Pizzle, and our new buddy…Kenny Dizzle…the man who helped us both lay out Triple H, two weeks ago when we Spray Painted your ass with ‘VKM’ all over in green…” Then, with VKM drawing jeers from the live crowd, HBK grabs the mic and says… “Where I come from, if you’re gonna talk the talk…you’re gotta walk the walk and, tonight DX came to fight…so why don’t you bring you’re selves into OUR ring?” Then, as BG & Kip look at one-another, before also engaging Kenny in their plan, Triple H removes his T-shirt as all 3-men on the outside charge towards the ring, however as they reach the foot of the ramp, BG & Kip pull up right in their tracks, leaving Kenny to slide into the ring alone, as he gets to his feet with total shock, turning to see BG & Kip hesitating on the ramp, as Kenny then turns around again, this time standing face to face with Triple H & HBK, who quickly begin to attack, catching Kenny with a tandem kick to the gut, before sending him into the far ropes, and as he comes back The Game steps forwards and takes Kenny Dykstra down hard, planting him on the mat with a patented Double-A Spine Buster before VKM charge, sliding into the ring and attempting to catch DX off-guard with their backs turned, however as BG & Kip stand up, they are immediately decked with hard right hands, then following this initially response, DX drags both men to their feet together, sending them both into the ropes and taking them down with simultaneous backdrops. And with the crowd loving every moment, while HHH & HBK now share a high-5, BG & Kip arch their backs on the mat before Michaels & Triple H drag them both up, backing them into the ropes, before backing away and then charging forwards again, sending both men up and over the top rope with huge, powerful tandem clotheslines, with both Kip & BG crashing down to the hard floor at ringside, flat on their backs. And as HBK & Triple H now accept the cheers of the crowd for their in-ring actions, with BG & Kip staggering to their feet and slowly backing away up the entry ramp, the re-united pairing of Triple H & Shawn Michaels stand firm and tall in the ring, sharing another popular high-5 before turning to face the VKM duo on the ramp and, executing several patented Crotch Chops to the great pleasure of the sold-out crowd, before Triple H says…“Tonight, like always…DX gets the last laugh in the ring and, this Sunday at Devils Night…Shawn and I, have just got two words for you two…” while the entire live crowd shout at the very top of their voice, together…“SUCK IT!” and then as Triple H gestures towards HBK, Michaels claims a can of Spray Paint, from inside his wrestling boot and hands it to The Game, as VKM look on in shock, before HHH sees Kenny lying on the mat and sprays the letters…DX…on his back, then with VKM standing on the stage looking enraged, HHH & HBK step forwards, climbing upon separate turnbuckle posts, crossing their arms high above their heads, and both signalling the shape of an ‘X’ as Meltdown slowly prepares to go off the air!
