UCW Meltdown – October 24 – Wednesday Night
Action Zone
As the opening strains of Guns’ N’ Roses’ Welcome
to the Jungle blast from the screen, we are shown brief highlights from last weeks edition of UCW Meltdown. Randy Orton, Kurt
Angle, Batista and Samoa Joe all laid-claim to a UCW Title shot, before Jim Cornette took each under consideration before
making a Tag Team match, in-which Randy Orton was victorious pinning The Animal after a controversial RKO as Cornette informed
him that next week, Sting will name the New No.1 Contender! Angle then attacked Orton, before Joe attacked Angle, leaving
the decision a mystery. Triple H then issued a warning to VKM for crossing his path, only to be confronted by none-other-than
Team 3D following his assault on them last week, but as they did-so, LAX made their return to action, brawling away with Team
3D out of our sight. HHH then remained in the ring, as VKM came on the Big Screen to address him, making it clear that they
took issue with his warning and told him to watch his back. Our main event then pitted Christian Cage without Tomko, against
the Undertaker, but as Taker began to dominate and Cage rolled to the outside, Abyss soon entered, having been approached
by Cage backstage, but much to Cage’s shock & surprise, Abyss tossed Cage into the ring before a message from Kane
distracted everyone. Abyss then left ringside, while Cage was DQ’d for a low blow on the Dead Man, before Taker sat-up
and planted Cage with a Tombstone Piledriver with authority.
And following the live opening of the show, we now join JR & King
at ringside and, JR says…“Ladies & gentlemen, welcome to Meltdown…I am JR alongside the King, and we
have an action-packaged hour ahead for you, starting with Sting’s decision…” King says…“That’s
right JR, with Jim Cornette away on business for one week only, he has left Melina in charge for the night…while in
just a few minutes from now, Sting will name the No.1 Contender…and the man who he will face at Devils Night, from a
short-list of Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe & Randy Orton…but that is not all, JR…” JR says…“Certainly
not King, we also have Christian Cage & a returning Tomko, presenting the Peep Show later tonight with Special Guest…The
Monster, Abyss!” King says…“And with Triple H & VKM in the Action Zone too, expect fire-works, but now…it’s
time to find-out who will face the UCW Champion at Devils Night!”
HEY, NOTHING YOU CAN SAY! As the arena becomes bathed in a golden glow,
the crowd greets the arrival of Randy Orton with hostile jeers as he makes his way, through the curtain and down the ramp,
pausing only to strike is world-famous pose, wearing a ‘Legend Killer’ T-shirt and casual black trousers, Orton
looks impatient while entering the ring and calling for a mic from the ring-attendant, and saying… “Sting…STINGER…I
have waited all week and I am slowly running out of patience, because time is precious and your’s is up…so why
don’t you come out here NOW… because you have a decision to make & for your sake, I hope you make the right
one!”
But as the Action Zone lights dim and we hear the beginnings of some
intense music, attention turns towards the entrance way as Kurt Angle makes his way into view. Coming down the ramp dressed
to compete wearing his brand-new wrestling gear, complete with his hooded ring-jacket, the crowd also greets Kurt with hostile
jeers, before he claims a mic and enters the ring, stepping towards Orton and, then saying… “Ya know something
Randy? For once, I think we agree…Sting has a choice to make, but as a man of faith and principal as-well-as honour
and sportsmanship, like myself... Sting knows that there is in-reality no real decision at all. But WHEN Sting picks me, I’d
be more than happy to make my first title defence against you RANDY ORTON, because then maybe I could finish what I started
last week, by breaking your ankle!” Orton replies…“Oh, you wanna take a shot at me, huh? Like you’re
a tough guy…” Angle says…“Oh, you better believe it buddy! I’ve got a Gold Medal that proves,
beyond any doubt, that I’m the toughest guy around here and, everybody knows it…”
But with the crowd becoming split with their support between these
two, suddenly attention turns back to the ramp as the familiar entrance music of Samoa Joe sounds, before the Samoan Submission
Machine himself now gradually comes out into view, wearing casual trousers and an official ‘Joe’s Gonna Kill You’
Meltdown T-shirt, Samoa Joe makes his way into the ring, keeping his eyes on both Angle and Orton, with a mic in-hand…and
the crowd now chanting his name…Joe smiles and says… “Every time I think things can’t get anymore
pathetic around here…I see you two! Kurt, nobody cares about your Gold Medal and Randy, there is one thing you are not,
and that is a tough guy…so why don’t you both give this crowd a break for tonight, because there is only ONE man
who matters tonight…and his name is…STING! Nothing and nobody else matters and…now I think we’ve all
waited long enough…”
IT’S SHOWTIME! But as all 3-men fall silent and begin to square-up
to each-other, suddenly the arena lights dim once more and attention turns to the entrance way and electricity fills the Action
Zone and the noise throughout the arena is truly deafening, as The Icon Sting, our proud UCW Champion, begins to make his
way to the ring. Coming down the aisle wearing his long black trench coat and full black ring-attire and familiar painted
face, with the beautiful gold UCW Championship Belt slung casually over his right shoulder, and his famous black baseball
bat held in his grasp, the Stinger pauses on the ramp and spreads his arms to embrace the crowd, yelling… “Wooooo!”
before he enters the ring, confronting Angle, Joe and Orton one-by-one, eventually calling for a mic, to address them as the
crowd now falls silent, saying… “Wooooo…So a little birdie tells me, I have a pretty BIG decision to make
tonight! Well, you know what…you only get one chance to make a FIRST impression and, frankly I’m impressed…all
3 of you have shown that you really want this title shot, but…unfortunately only one man can get it and that’s
the rule, so it’s a tough choice! Although, now I think about it, there is one man who stands out above the rest and,
that man is you…RANDY…” And as Sting raises his famous black baseball bat, pointing it directly at Orton,
the Legend Killer smiles in agreement with the Stinger, before looking at both Angle & Joe, as Kurt watches with disgust
etched on his face. Sting continues, saying…“Because…You’re the only one who has not earned a thing!
You took advantage of a technicality and also the conflict between Triple H & VKM, but in my book that does not make you
a No.1 Contender…so hit the bricks, kiddo! Maybe one day you might get there but, you will not be facing me at Devils
Night…” And as the look on Orton’s face turns from pride to embarrassment, the crowd cheer, before the Legend
Killer slowly begins to seethe with anger at Sting’s decision and, while he begrudgingly steps through the ropes and
heads up the ramp to the back, gradually the crowd begins to sing…“Na, Na, Na, Na…Hey, Hey, Hey…Good
Bye!” And with Orton gone, as the crowd hush once more, Sting is ready to continue, saying…“Now we get down
to BUSINESS and, my choice is an easy one because, following Doomsday…when I over-came the toughest test of my career
thus far, following that match as I could hardly stand…when I held this title in my grasp, knowing how precious it is
because for the first time I had felt it slipping away… And, for the first time I felt like maybe I didn’t deserve
to carry the title anymore… Because as I held it above my head amid the cheers of the crowd, and I looked down, I saw
a telling sight…because lying flat on his back, was in-reality the BETTER man. At Doomsday I tapped out…with or
without a referee, that caught me in the heart and, so in all good conscience the only choice I can make & my opponent
at Devils Night, will be the man I faced that night at Doomsday…and that is you KURT ANGLE…” But following
this announcement, with Samoa Joe visibly angered by Sting’s choice, he turns to leave the ring but, as Joe begins to
step through the ropes to the outside, Sting says…“Wait a minute Joe, I didn’t dismiss you…I’ll
get to you in just a minute. Now, Kurt…You have what you want and, all being well I’ll see you at Devils Night.
But right now, you need to disappear because I have a more pressing matter at hand!” And as Angle takes a step backwards,
turning his head to glance towards Samoa Joe, he then looks back at Sting with intense eyes before stepping through the ropes
and, with Angle heading up the ramp he motions across his waist for the UCW Title Belt, and, as Angle walks through the curtain
and Sting and Joe are left alone in the ring, Sting says…“Say it ain’t so, Joe…Finally its just me
and you, alone once again… You seemed in a hurry to get outta here just now…you don’t have other plans do
you? Because, all week long I’ve been thinking…Randy, Kurt or Joe…and as I said before, after Doomsday Kurt
was my pick…but I can see the look in your eyes tonight Joe, it’s the same look you had when you returned to win
the Battle Royal two weeks ago, and the same look you had when you confronted me at Doomsday…And I Like It!!! It’s
making my heart beat a little faster and, it’s making my blood run a little quicker! Now Kurt is locked in for Devils
Night and that’s DONE, but the way I understood it, the rules stated that following the Battle Royal…you would
get the FIRST title shot, so if you don’t have other plans…and you really want to show what you’re made
of, then how about I give you that title shot, right here tonight…Because It’s Showtime!” And as the live
crowd erupts with approval following a HUGE challenge from Sting, Joe says…“You know what Sting? That is something
I’ve wanted for a long time and, certainly I do accept but, it may be the BIGGEST mistake you have EVER made... Because
it’s not showtime, IT’S ON and tonight…Inevitably, You Will Be Broken!” And as the crowd greet these
words with a hush of unease, as Joe leaves the ring, Sting watches as the Samoan Submission Machine backs away up the entrance
ramp, motioning across his waist while Sting raises the UCW Championship Belt up-high, pointing his baseball bat directly
at Samoa Joe…as anticipation builds for the match, and with the crowd’s support split between the two fan favourites,
we now cut away.
And with Joe heading back through the curtain while Sting stands tall
in the ring, backstage we now join Jeremy Borash for the first time tonight, with his guests LAX, draped in Latino colours
and proudly carrying the UCW Tag Team Championships. Borash says…“JB here and, we now know that Sting has made
his choice and, coming-up at Devils Night it will be Kurt Angle who challenges the UCW Champion. But, tonight The Icon has
challenged Samoa Joe…but with Melina in-charge tonight, we await official confirmation whether that match-up will happen
for the UCW Title. However, right now I would like to introduce my guests, Homicide & Hernandez, LAX and gentlemen...following
your return last week, it has now been made official: Devils Night sees the culmination of your rivalry with Brother Ray &
Brother Devon, when LAX meets Team 3D in a Tables Match…and it has been a long-time coming!” Homicide says…“You
know something, JB? When Team 3D put us through Tables, took us out of action…they didn’t only injured us, but
they injured our Pride as well. So when Jim Cornette gave us time off to recover, we didn’t even want to take it…
LAX are Militant Thugs 24/7 365 and we were ready to go back to war right away! But you see, Jim Cornette made us see things
a different way, and now we’re back, Team 3D…Be Careful What You Wish For, homes…because soon you gonna
get it, but not because you deserve it, only because you made things personal with LAX… And you better thank GOD for
the opportunity because it is your very LAST chance! At Devils Night, Team 3D vs. LAX…Tables Match for the Tag Team
Titles and, these belts are going NOWHERE because LAX are Champions of UCW Lucha Libre; and at Devils Night we’re gonna
do it for the LATINO NATION…and for our pride!” Hernandez then says…“Brother Ray, Brother Devon…To
Live and Die in LAX…” Homicide & Hernandez then make LAX signs with their hands into the camera, before departing
as we now catch sight of Randy Orton passing by in the background. JB then catches-up with the Legend Killer, as he makes
his way to the locker room, saying…“Randy, Randy wait-up…Can I get your comments on Sting’s decision?”
Orton then stops, pausing for a moment to consider his response, before saying… “Borash, I think Sting said it
all…but I don’t think he realises what he did tonight. You see, there is still one LEGEND in this business that
I have yet to kill, just one…” Then as JB looks confused, Orton smiles and continues on his way through the door,
while we cut away to join JR & King at ringside for our opening match of the night.
MATCH 1 Team 3D vs. London & Kendrick
With Team 3D making their way to the ring greeted with the wrath
of the crowd, Brother Ray & Devon come down the ramp full of confidence and ready for battle, having been granted their
wish for one more shot at the UCW Tag Team Titles and entering the ring and motioning across their waist for the Tag Team
Titles Belts, before Kendrick & London come running down the ramp and sliding into the ring. But in no time at all Team
3D show why they are so highly respected internationally as they begin with a display of smash mouth style-action, dominating
their extremely capable opponents from the start, before settling down the pace and maintaining quick tags to control the
match, isolating the faster and more athletic London & Kendrick. But following a brief rally from Kendrick, who manages
to out-manoeuvre Devon, was received positively from the crowd; Brother Ray becomes angry and tags in, delivering a hostile
beating to Kendrick and then London in equally brutal regard. Team 3D then fought on despite a further brief rally from London
& Kendrick, eventually connecting with their patented 3D finisher on London for the victory. However, as Brother Ray &
Devon scale the turnbuckles to celebrate their victory, while the crowd are entirely less-than-welcoming towards Team 3D,
as abruptly…
TEAM EXTREME! Attention turns towards the entrance way as the crowd
cheers, signalling the arrival of the Hardy’s, returning for the first time since Doomsday as Team 3D then climb down
from the ring-posts as Matt & Jeff advance down the aisle. Standing firm, Brother Ray & Brother Devon assume a defensive
position in the ring, but when Matt & Jeff reach the foot of the ramp and slide into the ring, 3D bail out, drawing jeers
from the live crowd. But as the Hardy’s beckon Team 3D back in and, Brother Ray & Brother Devon begin backing away,
up the ramp towards the back…
LAX! But with the Hardy’s clearly seeking revenge on Team 3D
after Doomsday, while 3D wants nothing to do with Matt & Jeff, we are interrupted by a familiar sound as three-gunshots
pierce the air signalling the arrival of the Latin-American Exchange and suddenly attention turns towards the entrance ramp
again following a loud cheer, as Homicide & Hernandez come through the curtain with their Tag Team Title Belts, making
their way into the Action Zone as Team 3D quickly turn away from the ring. And as both teams instantly collide on the ramp,
with fists soon flying left and right, Meltdown Security quickly arrive on the scene making their way through the curtain
in an attempt to stop these teams from tearing each-other apart before Devils Night, and as Team 3D & LAX are eventually
separated, before things get out of control, Matt & Jeff now scale the turnbuckles themselves, motioning across their
waists, signalling that they also intend to pursue the UCW Tag Team Titles, as we cut away.
Backstage we now re-join JB outside the GMs office, as he begins to
address us, saying…“JB here once again and, having just spoken to Melina I can now confirm, tonight…Samoa
Joe will meet Sting for the UCW Championship in our Main Event! She also confirmed, following Sting’s decision made
in the ring earlier on Meltdown, that Kurt Angle will indeed face the winner of tonight’s Samoa Joe vs. Sting match,
for the UCW Championship at Devils Night…but now please welcome my guest and, Triple H you certainly had an eventful
time last week but as you prepare to compete, are you at all concerned about involvement from VKM, considering what happened,
last week when they accused you of being behind the ‘Legal Notice’ they received, and more importantly at Doomsday,
when they actually did cost you your match?” Triple H then says…“JB, do you see fear in my eyes? Do you
see any concern at all? Now let me make one thing perfectly clear, to YOU and to VKM…Mark My Words, I did not request
that ‘Legal Notice’ and I do not know who did…Understand me? And, if VKM stays out of my way from now on,
then we don’t have a problem but… If on the other-hand, they do decide to cross my path, I’m not a hard
man to find but, BG…Kip James, if you choose to get involved…You Will Not Like How It Ends!” And following
a look of disdain directly into the camera and then back at Borash, HHH turns to leave, but before JB can hand back over to
JR & King at ringside, suddenly he is approached by an unexpected guest in the Action Zone, Eric Young, who says…“Hey
JB…WOW…Did you see that? That was Triple H, The Game… This place is awesome!!!” But as Young looks
around and gives JB a thumbs-up, Borash says…“Um, Eric…What exactly are you doing here, this is Meltdown?”
Young says…“No problem, you see I have this special VIP UCW Backstage Pass, that allows me backstage at all UCW
shows…whether I’m booked on them or not!” Young then takes the Backstage Pass out of his pocket and shows
it to JB, who says… “Eric, not only is this so-called ‘Backstage Pass’ actually a ‘Lunch Voucher’
but also, it’s out-of-date and…You are an employee of UCW, you should already have a pass!” Young then says…“Shane
McMahon never gave me one…and, well I bought this, from Kevin Nash…he also told me to say ‘Hello’
to Kane for him…where is he?” Borash then says…“Eric? Nobody has seen Kane since Doomsday and, honestly…
You probably shouldn’t try looking…maybe just hang-out and watch the show…” Young then says…“Maybe
you’re right JB, and I’ll keep it all on the down-low, ok? Just remember, don’t tell anybody about the plan…especially
Shane McMahon!!!” Young then makes eye-contact with JB and points at his eyes and then back at JB’s, before ducking
out of sight and, with JB now confused by everything we cut away.
Elsewhere we now catch sight of Kurt Angle making his way down the
hallway, approaching the GMs office and coming to a stop outside, before knocking twice. From behind the door, inside the
office we then hear the voice of Melina, saying… “Yes it’s open, can I help you?” But as Kurt then
opens the door to the GMs office, smiling to himself and stepping inside, he then closes the door tightly behind him.
MATCH 2 Triple H vs. Kenny Dykstra
TIME 2 PLAY THE GAME! And with young Kenny already waiting in the ring,
while the crowd erupts with a massive cheer to welcome HHH into the Action Zone, this match begins with a traditional collar-and-elbow
tie-up as The Game quickly applies a standing side-headlock, before stepping around to apply a wristlock then into a hammerlock
on Kenny. As the crowd begins to chant…“Triple H…Triple H…” The Game now twists Kenny’s
arm back around and into the wristlock, connecting with a stiff knee to the mid-section, winding Kenny and eventually releasing
the hold. HHH then shoots Kenny into the corner and quickly follows up with a clothesline, before sending him across the ring
into the ropes and then missing with a wild clothesline before connecting on the turn with a superb Harley Race style high-knee,
sending Kenny down once again, as Triple H roars aloud and fires up for the crowd. But as Kenny kicks out of The Game’s
cover, HHH begins to get vicious with him, connecting with several short, sharp right hands and then attempting to choke Kenny,
until the ref admonishes The Game, to the disdain of the crowd & the King of Kings. But as the match wears on and Kenny
gains the upper-hand with a fake to the eyes, eventually Triple H shows his class and fights back through this adverse period,
reversing Kenny into the ropes and taking him down with a Double-A Spine Buster. And when Dykstra attempts to go toe-to-toe
with his more accomplished opponent, things tip in favour of The Game as he connects with a stiff boot to the mid-section,
hooking his arm and, then with the crowd coming alive with anticipation and joy, attention now turns to the entrance ramp
as BG James & Kip James now appear… Charging down towards the ring, and drawing the attention of the ref and the
crowd before leaping up onto the ring apron and also drawing the attention of The Game, who releases his hold on Kenny as
his young opponent now slumps back to the mat while HHH turns to the ref, telling him to get VKM away from the ringside area.
However, as Triple H remonstrates with the ref and VKM about there presence here, Kenny quickly crawls behind The Game, pulling
him down to the mat with a roll-up, as both VKM members drop down from the apron and now head back up the ramp, leaving as
quickly as they came, while the ref counts, 1…2…But Triple H kicks out! Then as both men spring-up to their feet
and Kenny swings with a wild clothesline, HHH quickly ducks and then catches Kenny with a stiff boot to the mid-section, before
hooking his arms and once again preparing to drop Kenny with the Pedigree, but with his back to the ramp, this time Triple
H fails to see VKM return to ringside, quickly sliding into the ring and, while the referee begins to remonstrates with BG,
Kip quickly delivers a sneaky Chop Block to HHH, taking him down from behind. And with the referee calling for a DQ, as Kenny
rolls towards the ropes and away, now HHH attempts to stand before BG quickly kicks The Game deep in the stomach, badly winding
him and doubling him over on the mat, as Kip gets back to his feet and, with Kenny on the outside as both members of VKM now
put their boots to HHH, Kip & BG call-out for Kenny to re-enter as all 3-men commence a serious beat-down. Putting the
boots to The Game, dragging him-up and holding him perfectly in-place, while they each take-turns to bury a fist deep into
his mid-section, before finally, Kenny holds HHH in-place while BG delivers a seriously vicious kick to the groin, before
both men keep him on his feet while Kip James now patiently lines him-up, before taking The Game down with his patented Fame-Asser
finishing manoeuvre. Finally, with Triple H lying face-down on the canvas, beaten and bruised by 3-men, Kenny shares a high-5
with VKM before he leaves the ring and heads to the back, VKM both begin to smile as Kip removes a can of Spray Paint from
his pocket and, with the live crowd jeering heavily as BG James smiles and then bursts out laughing, Kip shakes the can before
removing the lid and then beginning to laugh himself, spraying the letters…“VKM!” in bright green letter
right across The Game’s back! Then, having finished, Kip then places the spray can back into his jeans pocket, before
he and BG then begin to mock the jeers of the crowd with many Crotch Chops, before they both now leave the ring, with Triple
H still lying motionless, face-down.
Backstage we now re-join JB outside the GMs office as the door slowly
opens and, Kurt Angle says…“Once again, thank you Melina…and keep up the good work!” Angle then closes
the door behind him and leaves the GMs office as JB approaches, saying…“Kurt, moments ago we saw you enter the
General Manager’s office and, having been guaranteed your Re-Match for the UCW Championship at Devils Night, exactly
what business do you have with the GM and…could you share it with us?” Angle then says…“JB, I was
simply offering my advice to Melina on her first night, about running the show…and how she could possibly improves things
around here. And, with Sting vs. Samoa Joe coming-up…I would hate for that match to be ruined, like my match at Doomsday,
by the poor standard of refereeing we have seen lately. So, when Melina agreed…I simply suggested an alternative Special
Guest referee! Someone who could take charge of the UCW Title Match tonight…and remain fair, impartial and above all
else consistent…while maintaining a keen sense of integrity. And when I told her the person I had in mind, she was happy
to support my choice, but out of professional courtesy…I was asked to keep the persons identity to myself, but don’t
worry JB…You and everyone else, will soon find-out at main event time!” But as Angle smiles to himself and turns
away, leaving JB looking slightly confused, attention turns towards BG & Kip James now making their way to the locker
room, laughing loudly between themselves, as JB quickly approaches them both, saying… “VKM, are you guys at all
concerned about the fall-out from your actions tonight? Beating down on Triple H, 2-on-1 & 3-on-1, before then delivering
the final insult, Spray Painting your initials…VKM…all across his back in huge bright green letters! And all of
this due to a misunderstanding, BG & Kip…was it all really worthwhile?” BG says…“Understand this,
JB…when you cross VKM, you cross a family-line, Triple H…there was a time that I considered you FAMILY, but that
time has passed. Now, we heard what you said earlier tonight…the Legal Notice was not your work, but it’s gone
beyond that…it’s about respect, and about paying for your mistakes!” Kip says…“10 years ago
Hunter, we stood side-by-side, on top of the world together, but now you think you’re better than us? Well, look at
you now…lying face-down, courtesy of VKM…with Spray Paint on your ass…who is better than who, know? And,
don’t even think about coming back next week, because if you haven’t noticed, there are TWO of us and only ONE
of you…and there’s nobody watching your back, like there was 10 years ago…You got no friends, you got no
back-up, no NOTHING! So, why don’t you just roll-over and disappear and leave Meltdown to me & BG, because if you’re
The Game, then VKM make the rules…and now it’s Game Over!” Kip then reaches back into his jeans pocket to
remove his can of Spray Paint again, while BG laughs and Kip now sprays the letters…“VKM!” across the camera
lens, partially blocking out our view of them & JB, before VKM leaves and we cut away.
9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1! Then as JR & King welcome viewers back to the
ringside area, Christian Cage comes through the curtain, briefly pausing on the Action Zone stage as we notice that the ring
is already set up with a talk show set, complete with two stools and a red carpet covering the ring, all in place for the
latest edition of The Peep Show, as the Instant Classic himself Christian Cage makes his way to the ring looking smug, accompanied
once more by Tomko and dressed in jeans and an Instant Classic T-shirt, he then enters the ring and slaps his chest to signal
to his Peeps, receiving only boos before calling for a mic, which Tomko claims from the ring-attendant, as Cage says…
“Ladies and gentlemen, please put your hands together for the return of My Show! Created for all of you, my loyal followers
and…having suffered in silence recently, last week it was refreshing to hear that Main Event BUZZ in my ears once again…
and tonight, I thought it only appropriate to complete my comeback with style as I bestow upon you…My Peeps, the return
of the Peep Show…and my Special Guest! Someone who last week, made a HUGE mistake, someone who forget his place…
someone who made an enemy of Christian Cage, my guest, The Monster, Abyss!”
DOOMSDAY! And as attention now turns towards the entrance way once
again, slowly Abyss makes his way out onto the stage, crossing his arms and roaring aloud, before advancing down the ramp
as the crowd welcomes The Monster with cheers. Then, with Tomko sat on one of the two stools while Cage stands in centre ring,
Abyss reaches the foot of the ramp before climbing onto the ring-apron and then, while Tomko now gets to his feet, Abyss steps
easily over the top rope into the ring, before The Monster is quickly confronted by Cage’s body-guard, before Cage now,
coming between the two Big Men convinces Tomko to back-up, and sit back down, while Cage himself backs away from Abyss, as
The Monster stands in centre ring and, with Cage attempting to seem relaxed, as Abyss now stares towards him, Cage says…
“Now, we all know it’s a long road back to the top, but even against the Undertaker, and even without the support
of my Best Friend, my No.1 Guy, Tomko by my side, things were going GREAT…I had the match under-control, in the palm
of my hand, when you got involved in the match…and you stuck your nose into MY business! Why, did you do it Abyss? I
rolled to the outside, simply just to catch my breath and, there you were like a pimple of prom-night…Now what do you
have to say about it? NO! Ya know what? I don’t wanna hear it Abyss, I want you to apologise for it, because last week,
you misunderstood my intentions when I spoke to you backstage... I was trying to do you a favour Abyss, because that’s
the kind of nice guy that I am!!! I was giving you the chance to be a star, to make a name for yourself, by my side…
Because that’s what I do, I make stars…Just ask Sting and, you could’ve been next, but you blew it…You
turned on me and, you decided to bite the hand that fed you… Well, you got one chance Abyss…Apologise now and,
I might go easy on YOU!!!” But as the words come from Cage’s mouth, and Abyss steps forwards towards him, Cage
takes a deep breath and, as The Monster now stands toe-to-toe with him, suddenly as Cage cowers, Tomko stands from his stool
and advances towards Abyss, clubbing The Monster from behind and staggering him, as Cage ducks out the way. Abyss then turns
around as Tomko begins to un-load with several hard right hands, before Abyss lashes out with a stiff knee to the mid-section,
doubling Tomko over, then with Tomko winded Abyss drags him up-right, throttling him around the throat, only for Christian
Cage to drop down behind Abyss and deliver a stiff low blow, buckling The Monster at the knees before turning him around into
the Unprettier. Abyss though manages to dig a deep and shove Cage off and away into the ropes, using his overwhelming brute-force
and, as Cage hits the ropes and staggers around, Abyss now throttles him around the throat again, only for Tomko to grab a
stool, raising it high above his head and, as Abyss prepares to hoist Cage off his feet, Tomko cracks the stool across the
back of Abyss, causing him to release his grip, before Tomko then clatters the stool over the head of Abyss as he turns around,
staggering The Monster backwards into the ropes, as Cage rolls to the outside and, Tomko then discards his stool and catches
Abyss with a solid kick to the mid-section, winding him and then dragging him forwards and sending him off into the far ropes.
Then as Abyss hits the ropes, Tomko takes him down with a brutal boot to the face, before Cage now returns to the ring having
claimed 2 steel chairs from ringside and, with Abyss down in the centre of the ring, but slowly moving and trying to stand,
together Christian & Tomko now position themselves either-side of The Monster, each now in-possession of a solid steel
chair, as they wait for Abyss to stand and, while boos and jeers ring around the Action Zone as Tomko and Cage get ready,
preparing to connect with The Monster and take him down with the Con-Chair-To, Abyss slowly staggers to his feet in a daze,
as Tomko & Cage prepare to swing…
LIGHTS OUT! But at that very moment, as the crowd erupts into
a deafening cheer, suddenly the arena lights cut-out and we hear a single bell tolling in the distance, briefly shrouding
the Action Zone in complete darkness, before the lights soon return. But as the light returns, Cage & Tomko are stunned
to see that Abyss has vanished, leaving them standing alone together in the ring, while holding their steel chairs and, as
the cheers of the crowd increase, we hear a second bell tolling in the distance, before the arena lights cut-out again and
smoke begins to come from under the ring. But as Cage & Tomko look at one-another and soon become frozen with shock now,
the Big Screen begins to crackle with static & interference and suddenly goes blank before showing a rush of images with
skulls and grave stones and cemetery gates, before suddenly going blank again as the arena is then bathed in an eerie purple
light, as the crowd falls silent and the chilling presence of darkness can be felt all around, while a deep, dark, menacing
voice now delivers the following ominous message…
“Christian Cage…Be Not Proud,
For Your Actions and Your Words,
Only Serve to Condemn Your Soul,
Into the Realm of Eternal Darkness…”
And as the message now ends, with Cage & Tomko standing speechless
in the ring, the arena lights return to normal as Cage appears to be seriously panic stricken and, following this strange
turn of events we now cut away as they slowly leave the ring.
We are then shown a brief promotional vignette for the next time that
UCW action will be featured live on PPV, when Meltdown & Infest both combine once again to present: – UCW Devils
Night…Live only on Pay-Per-View…Sunday 11 November.
Before our main event of the evening, we now re-join JR & King
back at ringside as, JR says…“Well King, what an eventful night it has been and, it is still far from over, but
it is fairly safe to say, the Undertaker is clearly not finished with Christian Cage!” King says…“JR, right
now I’d say that was an understatement, because it seems like the Undertaker took exception to the actions of Christian
Cage and his comments about their match last week…But I wanna know, where the HELL did Abyss go?” Then JR says…“Well,
your guess is as good as mine, but in any event still to come, Samoa Joe will challenge Sting for the UCW Championship with
a Special Referee, whoever that may be. Kurt Angle seemed pretty happy; do you have any ideas King?” King says…“Well,
I don’t know for sure but, if they want a touch of Royal flavour, maybe I could volunteer…I’d make a GREAT
referee, 1……2……Help me out, JR!” JR says…“Just keep trying King! Because now it’s
time for Sting vs. Samoa Joe…”
But a sudden flash of camera lights from a team of paparazzi and a
group of handlers laying out a red carpet on the entrance ramp then signals the arrival of Melina into the Action Zone. Coming
out down the ramp and loving every moment of the spotlight, she parades her celebrity in front of the world, only pausing
at the foot of the ramp, taking her time flaunting her sexy body and spreading her legs apart on the ring apron, before performing
her patented ring entrance and then ducking under the bottom rope. Then as Melina get to her feet in the ring and calls for
a mic from the ring-attendant, she says…“Before our main event tonight, I have a VERY important announcement!
Now, with Jim Cornette away on business this week, I have been running the show and, I hope you have been entertained…but
the action is far from over as you know. Coming-up we have our Main Event for the UCW Title between Sting & Samoa Joe,
but following the controversial events during the UCW Title match at Doomsday and, the recent standard of refereeing as of
late, I have decided in the interest of fairness, tonight’s UCW Title Match will have a Special Guest referee to act
impartially and, with a keen sense of integrity to call this match fairly…and right down the middle…”
But as the Action Zone lights dim and we hear the beginnings of some
intense music, attention turns towards the entrance way as Kurt Angle makes his way into view. Making his way down the ramp
as the crowd greets him with hostile boos and jeers, Angle is wearing his dark-blue hooded ring-jacket and matching tracksuit
bottoms, lowering his hood as he nears the foot of the ramp while Melina begins to applaud. Kurt now removes his ring-jacket
to reveal a Black & White striped referee shirt, smiling broadly from ear-to-ear before handing his ring-jacket to the
attendant and, with Kurt entering the ring and kissing Melina on the hand, she continues to say… “And now, please
all welcome tonight’s challenger for the UCW Championship…”
UCW Championship Match
Sting (c) vs. Samoa Joe
And with Samoa Joe entering to a loud reception from the Action Zone
crowd, handing his towel to the ring-attendant before quickly stepping through the ropes, making his way into the ring as
the crowd now chant…“JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE!” But with Samoa Joe clearly disgusted to find that
Kurt Angle is the Guest Referee, rage begins to boil-up in the eyes of Samoa Joe as Kurt Angle turns towards him, while these
two begin to square-up and Angle dares Joe to hit him right on the chin, before smiling and clearly mouthing the words…“Right
Down the Middle…1-2-3!”
IT’S SHOWTIME! But with Samoa Joe & Kurt Angle squaring-up
to one another, suddenly the arena lights dim again and their attention turns to the entrance way and electricity fills the
Action Zone and the noise throughout the arena is truly deafening, as The Icon Sting, our proud UCW Champion, begins to make
his way to the ring. Coming down the aisle wearing his long black trench coat and full black ring attire and familiar painted
face, with the beautiful gold UCW Championship Belt slung casually over his right shoulder, and his famous black baseball
bat held in his grasp, the Stinger pauses on the ramp, cupping his hands to his mouth and, yelling… “Wooooo!”
as Melina now turns to leave while Angle holds the ropes open for her, Sting passes Melina on the ramp, before pointing his
bat directly at Kurt Angle and, locking eyes with tonight’s Special Guest Referee, while Samoa Joe stands back, watching
as The Icon enters the ring and, pointing his bat directly at Samoa Joe, clearly mouthing the words…“It’s
Showtime!” as pre-match tension begins to build. Sting then hands his long black ring-jacket and baseball bat to the
ring-attendant, before also handing his UCW Title Belt to Kurt, who raises it up-high for all to see, before calling both
Sting & Joe together for annoyingly long pre-match instructions. But as Sting then steps away and Angle calls for the
opening bell, to begin the match, with Samoa Joe still seething he confronts Angle and they begin to square-up again, before
Sting steps forward and shoves Joe back, warning him to retain his focus, before Joe snaps and quickly swings a huge right
hand at the Stinger, who blocks it, coming back with one of his own and rocking back the head of Samoa Joe. Then, Sting connects
with two more un-answered shots that back Joe up-into the ropes, before Sting then attempts to send Joe across the ring, only
for him to reverse this, sending Sting into the far ropes. But as Sting hits and careens back off the ropes, momentum carries
him into the Samoan Submission Machine, taking Joe down and, when Joe springs quickly to his feet, Sting counters with a double-leg
take-down, taking Joe back down to the mat and attempting to apply the Scorpion Death Lock. However, Joe fights the hold,
lashing out with his feet to kick Sting off and away, sending him stumbling back across the ring and then down to the canvas
himself, before both men spring-up and Joe charges across the ring, as Sting now counters, leaping to connect with a patented
standing dropkick, sending Joe down again. And, with Joe down Sting moves quickly to apply the Scorpion Death Lock, as Joe
fights, quickly scrambling away to reach the ropes, before Sting can fully cinch in the hold. And as Sting breaks his grip
and gets to his feet, backing away as Joe now stands, both men advance into a stiff collar-and-elbow tie-up, as Sting takes
the advantage, applying a standing side-headlock before Joe quickly forces him back into the ropes. Then, as Joe shoves Sting
off and across the ring, Sting hits the far ropes once more, and as Joe stands firm in centre ring, Sting’s momentum
again carries him into Joe, sending Joe down once more and, as Joe rolls onto his stomach, Sting drags him up, connecting
with a kick to the gut, followed by a succession of stiff chops & slaps, backing Joe into the corner and then sending
him across the ring into the far corner, before charging and connecting with a Stinger Splash, but as Sting backs up again,
yelling…“Wooooo!” before charging across the ring to try another Stinger Splash, this time Joe counters
with a high mid-air catch, slamming Sting down to the canvas. Joe then drags Sting up and nails him with a stiff right hand,
followed by another, before taking him down with a snap-mare, connecting with a stiff chop to the back, followed by a kick
to the chest and then hitting the ropes to deliver a high knee-drop. And with Sting down, Joe now gets to his feet and runs
his thumb across his throat, before dragging The Icon to his feet and connecting with another stiff right hand, followed by
another and then a knee to the mid-section, winding the UCW Champion and sending him into the far corner, before charging
and crushing him in the corner, then repeatedly ramming his shoulder into Sting’s gut, slumping him down to the mat.
Samoa Joe then takes his foot and begins to scrape it across the face of the Stinger, repeatedly back-and-forth, before turning
and hitting the ropes and charging again, connecting with a final huge boot to the face of Sting, executing his brutal Face
Wash. Then, with Sting weakened, as Joe attempts to drag him up, Sting grabs the top rope, before Kurt Angle drags Joe away,
allowing Sting to his feet, enraging the Samoan. However, as Sting stands and slowly moves forward, Joe quickly advances again,
connecting with several stiff kicks to the legs, before Sting swings with a wild punch, only for Joe to duck and counter with
an atomic drop, before quickly hitting the ropes, then connecting and taking Sting down with a high-dropkick, then getting
to his feet, hitting the ropes again and leaping to deliver a sin-ton back-splash. But as Joe does, Sting quickly moves out
of the way, causing Joe to crash down to the hard canvas. But as Joe arches his back before slowly getting to his feet, Sting
begins to stand, staggering-up before Joe swings to connect with a wild clothesline, but Sting ducks. Then as Joe turns and
connects with a huge right hand, it has almost no effect and, when Joe with swings another right hand and connects, again
Sting shows no effects. And with Joe drawing back his hand for one more swing, with the crowd silent, suddenly the Stinger
fires up, stunning Joe and electrifying the Action Zone crowd, before lashing out with a stiff kick to the gut, then connecting
with several rapid-fire right hand shots and back hand chops, followed-up by another stiff kick to the gut. And as the crowd
comes alive, Sting forcefully forces Joe back against the ropes, sending him into the far ropes and taking him down with a
high-elevation backdrop. And with Sting now feeling the momentum change, he advances towards Joe, dragging him back up and
connecting with an atomic drop, before hitting the ropes. But as Sting comes off the ropes, looking for a clothesline, Joe
now steps forwards, countering with his patented Snap Slam and slamming Sting down to the canvas. But, as Joe makes the cover,
Angle steps away refusing to count, while Joe slaps the mat, 1…2…3…4-times, before getting to his feet and
squaring-up with Angle once again. But with Sting slowly getting to his feet, Joe turns and advances towards The Icon, dragging
him up and sending him into the ropes, but as Sting hits the ropes this time, he counters with a flying cross-body, taking
Joe down and hooking his leg for a cover, as Angle counts, 1…2…But when Joe kicks out following a fast count from
Angle, with both when springing to their feet, Sting quickly hooks his arms around Joe’s, pulling him down to the mat
for a quick backslide, for another count of just 1 and, with both men again up quickly, Sting drags Joe back down to the mat
one more time for a quick inside cradle attempt, but as Joe again kicks out after only a count of 1, with both springing-up
again, Sting is again fast to execute a double-leg take-down, before stepping through quickly and turning Joe over into the
Scorpion Death Lock, dragging Joe away from the safety of the ropes and into the centre of the ring and, when Joe begins to
writhe in pain while the Stinger sits down hard on his lower back, before Angle gets into position to call the finish as Joe
raises his hand, ready to tap… However, with Angle himself willing Joe to tap, attention turns to the entrance way,
while Randy Orton slowly wanders out through the curtain and down the ramp, dressed to compete and making his way towards
the ring as Angle gets to his feet. Kurt then stands facing the ramp, warning Orton to stay away from ringside and, while
Orton raises his hands and backs away, Sting releases his grip on Samoa Joe, advancing towards Angle who now turns around
only to find Sting confronting him. The Stinger then gets in Kurt’s face, warning him to stay focused on the match,
however when Kurt points to his referee badge and warns Sting to back away now, Sting throttles Kurt around the throat, beginning
to choke the Olympic Medallist, before Samoa Joe suddenly gets back to his feet, quickly advancing behind Sting and, with
the crowd gasping Joe clamps his arms around the throat of the UCW Champion, dragging him down to the mat, grape-vining his
mid-section, into the Kokina Clutch, while Sting releases his grip on Angle’s throat, who slowly goes down onto one-knee.
But with the crowd going wild and Sting writhing in agony from Joe’s choke hold, before Angle can recover his breath,
as Sting fights hard to resist Joe’s Kokina Clutch eventually the tremendous pain becomes too much and shockingly The
Icon taps out! And with Angle now calling for the bell and Joe releasing his grip on the Stinger, while the crowd cheers as
Samoa Joe gets to his feet, raising his arms in victory, before dropping to his knees to celebrate as Kurt Angle rolls to
the outside and the ring-announcer says…“And your winner, by DISQUALIFICATION…Samoa Joe!” However,
as realisation now sets in and the crowd begin to jeer at the announcement, Joe gets to his feet, locking eyes with Angle
at ringside, as Kurt quickly turns away, Joe rolls to the outside and gives chase as Angle quickly heads back up the ramp,
while Sting remains down in the ring and, as Joe chases Angle through the curtain, Randy Orton quickly re-emerges, making
his way down the ramp, towards the ring. And with Sting recovering from the Kokina Clutch, Orton now rolls into the ring,
slowly crouching down behind Sting and lowering himself down to the canvas, impatiently waiting for The Icon to rise, beating
his fists on the mat with frustration, before Sting gradually staggers to his feet, as Orton now sees his opportunity, suddenly
springing to his feet and turning Sting around, then leaping into the air, attempting to deliver his devastating RKO, but
somehow though Sting counters, shoving Orton off and sending him stumbling forwards and sprawling into the ropes. But as Sting
steadies himself as Orton staggers around, the Legend Killer charges and Sting quickly counters once again, connecting with
a patented standing dropkick, sending Orton down and rolling underneath the bottom rope, to the floor at ringside. And as
Sting gets to his feet, with the crowd cheering, he cups his hands to his mouth, yelling…“Wooooo!” as Orton
slaps the floor with frustration, before slowly standing, getting to his feet and starting to back-up the ramp, while Sting
remains in the ring, standing tall and locking eyes with Orton, who is visibly seething at this point and, with Meltdown prepared
to go off the air as Sting is handed is UCW Title Belt, raising it high into the air, while Orton pauses on the ramp and stares
back at Sting, JR says…“Despite the best efforts of Samoa Joe, Sting is still the UCW Champion, but it seems as
though The Icon now has a Legend Killer…focused on Revenge!”
