Before the show gets underway, we are shown highlights from last week as Carlito costs CM Punk his match against Robert Roode, while Chris Harris calls out James Storm for a rematch from Revolution. In the shock of the night, AJ Styles once again steals a win from Jerry Lynn….but this time wire dire consequences as it means Lynn’s UCW contract is torn up. And at the end of the show, Shane McMahon tells Scott Steiner that this week he will be given a contract, but part of it states that he will face John Cena at Doomsday. Cena then comes out to warn Steiner that it is just 23 days until payback, while new No.1 contender Rhino makes his mark with a devastating Gore to World Champion Edge, bringing the highlights to an end.

We then see World Heavyweight Champion Edge, dressed in jeans and a t-shirt and shades, the World Heavyweight Championship sitting proudly on his shoulder, standing backstage. “Last week a travesty was beset on your Champion, an act of hideous injustice. Tonight, the Rated R Superstar will once again light up Infest as I host my Cutting Edge. And my guest tonight? The man who not only saw fit to attack me from behind last week….but will face me for my Championship at Doomsday…..Rhino. Be sure not to miss it.” With that we roll to the opening credits, to the theme song ‘Enemy’ by Fozzy.

As the show goes live to the world amidst an explosion of pyro and light, the cameras pan around the sold out arena as the crowd is awash with replica t-shirts and signs of all the Infest superstars.

We then join the ‘Professor’ Mike Tenay and JBL at the announce table. “Folks, welcome to the latest edition of Infest and tonight looks set to be a show you just can’t afford to miss.” “When isn’t it Tenay? UCW is hot commodity right now, it’s just that simple.” “A fair point John. But just look at what we have in store tonight. We have ‘Cowboy’ James storm in action, and mentioning Storm we eagerly await his stipulation suggestion for a rematch with Chris Harris, which we should hear tonight. We have a grudge rematch as Carlito and CM Punk collide, plus after his actions last week there is no rest for the wicked as X Division Champion AJ Styles faces Sonjay Dutt in a non-title match-up.” “Plus we finally see Scott Steiner sign an Infest contract, and as we just heard we will once again bare witness to the Cutting Edge, with special guest the ‘War Machine’ Rhino. It really is a show to not be missed Tenay!” “John, I can’t wait, so let us get straight down to the action!”

As Storm and Jackie make their way down to the ring, we see that Jackie is carrying a sack over he right shoulder, which she places by the announce table. The match is hard hitting from the start, with veteran Val Venis no fool when it comes to stepping In the ring. In fact it is Venis who makes the better start, hitting some hard rights before taking Storm down with a vertical suplex. But the momentum doesn’t last thanks to a distraction from Jackie, which allows Storm to attack Venis from behind. From that point on Venis tries to put up a fight, but Storm is able to pull out the victory courtesy of a Superkick. After picking up the three count, Strom garbs his beer bottle and tales a swig, before spitting the beer in the face of Venis. Storm then grabs a mic, as Jackie picks up the sack and brings it into the ring. “Chris, I know you are watching closely back there boy….so listen good. I have spent the last week wondering about what kind of stipulation I could suggest. I thought long and hard, hell I even thought about it over a couple of cold beers. But in the end my method of thinking was that I already know I will beat you….so what could I chose to cause you a lot of pain as I do so. In the end, the answer was simple. So Jackie….if you would be so kind.” At that point Jackie unties the sack and empties the contents onto the mat. “That’s right Chris, I am the ‘Tennessee Cowboy’, and this Cowboy is gonna beat your ass in a Texas Bull Rope match. And just in case you are unclear what that means, let me explain. One end of the rope will be attached to my wrist, the other end will be attached to your wrist. And in the middle…..a solid cow bell just ready to inflict pain. So there you have it boy….take a good look because this will be the last time you see it without blood in your eyes!” With that Storm drapes the Bull Rope over his shoulders and makes his exit.

Backstage, we then see Christy Hemme standing with Sonjay Dutt. “Sonjay, tonight you face X Division Champion AJ Styles at your own request, but what made you make the request? And I notice Jay Lethal isn’t here with you, is everything ok between you both?” “Christy, I asked for this match after what went down last week. In fact not just last week but the past couple of months. AJ won that belt by deception, and he has clung to it by his teeth ever since. But last week he crossed the line….last week his low tactics cost a good man his job. Tonight I plan to show him he can’t have it all his own way, and that he is not as untouchable as he thinks. And as for Jay, there is nothing wrong between us. But I can pass on a message that AJ best keep both eyes open…because Jay is just as keen as me to get a piece of the Champion.” With that Sonjay leaves.

We are then shown a vignette which starts with the following text. ‘The following announcement was paid for by Robert Roode Incorporated.’ We then see Robert Roode dressed in a power suit, sitting behind his desk. “All my life I have strived to the best…a success at everything I do. Since I started in the wrestling business it has been my goal to be as successful as I have been a businessman. But despite my efforts, people still refuse to accept that I am the best damn thing in UCW. Since I arrived on Infest I have beaten every man that has stood in my path….including CM Punk last week. I was the rightful winner of the Contenders Battle Royal…..yet John Cena was given the shot…which he blew. But was I then given the chance I deserved? No. Instead by pulling off a fluke win over my tag team partner at Revolution….Rhino now is the next in line. But he didn’t beat the best…he didn’t beat Robert Roode. So despite all this…I am in the same position as I was the first day I walked through the doors at Infest. But all that is about to change. Next week….I finally get recognised for my abilities. Next week……I finally get the respect I deserve. Next week….I get honoured as the true champion that I am. Next week you will all realise one thing….it pays….to be Roode!” With that he sits back with a smile on his face as the shot fades away.

With the two men in the ring, ref Charles Robinson calls for the bell to get things started. The beginning is tentative with both men trying to work themselves into the match. Punk though takes an early advantage, pulling Carlito into a headlock and then sending him off into the ropes before taking him down with a drop kick. He continues the pressure with a series of knees to the head followed by a swinging neck breaker. Carlito has to roll to the outside to try and slow things down, clearing his head and breaking the momentum. As he returns Punk goes back on the attack, but Carlito turns the tide thanks to a pull on the hair that crashes Punk back first to the mat. Carlito then starts to work his way into the match, although every time he gets going Punk offers up some resistance. After a couple of near falls, Carlito starts to get frustrated, to which Punk takes advantage to work his way back into the match. Eventually Punk looks to pull Carlito to the corner for the Pepsi Plunge, but Carlito rakes the eyes of Punk and rolls out of the ring. He then picks up his apple and takes a bite, before picking up a chair. He then returns to the ring and is confronted by Robinson, who takes the chair from him. But as Robinson disposes of the chair, Punk charges only for Carlito to spit the apple in his face. Carlito then ducks a blind swing from Punk and hit’s the Back Cracker. He then makes the cover and picks up the three count. Then as the crowd jeer, Carlito rolls to the outside to celebrate as Punk clutches his back with one hand, and rubs apple from his eyes with the other.

We are then treated to the latest exploits of the Shelley Cam. The camera is set up on a tripod in one of the changing rooms, focused on a setting in front which is a picture of Jerry Lynn with candles all around it. Beside this is a board that states ‘In Memory Of Jerry Lynn’ on it. We then see Kevin Nash appear in front of the camera wearing a priests tunic and dog collar. “We are gathered here today to mourn the loss of the man who was the pioneer of the X Division.” We then hear the voice of Alex Shelley pipe up. “Kev, I thought you made the X Division?” “A good point Mr Shelley. Ahem. We are gathered here today to mourn the loss of the man who tired to steal the glory for a Division I built with these very hands. A man who…..” We then hear Sabin cut in. “Hold on a sec Kev, the camera is to close in.” We then see the shot adjust and widen, and we can now see Alex Shelley sitting on a chair, wearing a long curly blonde wig, fake beard and a leather jacket. Chris Sabin then sits in the empty chair, dressed as Spiderman. “The loss of Jerry Lynn has hit us all very hard. The man dedicated his life to wrestling and his music. One night he would be wowing crowds with his in ring abilities….the next he would be blowing the roof off an arena with his band Nickelback. At this time we have chosen to honour his exploits….Alex by symbolising the man himself…….and Chris by symbolising his greatest song…..‘Hero’ for the Spiderman soundtrack. Boys, at this time of heartache…I want us all to join hands and spare a few moments for our fallen comrade.” As they join hands, Nash reaches behind him and presses play on a CD player. We can then hear the song ‘Hero’ by Nickelback play, as Nash breaks into tears. “he was my hero man!!!” Shelley then gets up and embraces Nash. “You’re my hero Kev!” A group hug then insues as the shot fades away.

Backstage, we then see Christy Hemme standing with X Division Champion AJ Styles. “AJ, last week you outraged many people as you ended the UCW career of Jerry Lynn by what many deem as cheating. Now tonight you are in action again as you face Sonjay Dutt in non-title action. Are you worried about the match tonight?” “Christy, let me just address one thing. People can’t be mad at me about what happened last week. Jerry Lynn chose the stipulation….I can’t help it if I’m just too good that I beat him for a third time. If people can’t take someone they like losing….then they better stop watching my matches. You see, this X Division Championship says that I am the best UCW has to offer, there is no one better then me. And that goes for Sonjay Dutt too. You see tonight I will beat Sonjay just like I have beaten Jerry Lynn and Jay Lethal before him. Tonight, Sonjay Dutt will learn the same thing I have been telling you all for years….that I….am simply….phenomenal.” With that he walks off, a smug look on his face.

*SIRENS* With Shane McMahon and Jonathan Coachman in the ring standing by a table and chair, the arena erupts in boo’s as ‘Big Poppa Pump’ Scott Steiner makes his way down to the ring, a sexy women on each arm. As he gets to the bottom of the ramp, he flexes his arms and the women each kiss a muscle, before he then enters. As he stands in front of the two suits, Shane speaks. “Scott, here in my hand is the contract I promised you last week. But just remember two things. The first is that part of this contract is that you will face John Cena at Doomsday. The other thing is that the moment you sign this contract, you will become UCW property….and therefoe….I will own you.” Steiner then snatches the mic from him. “I can see your lips flapping, but all I can hear is crap. Why don’t you just shut your mouth and give me the god damn contract…..then I can get this thing signed and back to entertaining my freaks.” With that he then grabs the contract and takes a seat, thumbing through the pages. But as he picks up the pen…….

‘MY TIME IS NOW!’ The arena erupts in cheers John Cena comes out onto the stage, saluting the crowd before making his way down to the ring, pulling a mic out of his back pocket as he enters the ring. Steiner then gets to his feet as Cena starts to talk. “Well isn’t this grand…..a historic moment in UCW history. We are all about to witness the signing of the hottest free agent in the business….Big Poppa Pump….the man with the largest arms and the shortest(he places his hand over his crotch)……………..fuse in professional wrestling. I mean you have really pulled out all the stops. You brought your temper out here with you…..you have threatened the man giving you a job…….and you found two sexy women to bring to ringside. I mean look at them people, clearly Scott has out done himself this time. I mean look at her smile…..she is obviously very satisfied. But wait….Scott….look at this one. She can barely manage a grin. Perhaps she realised that there is nothing finer………..then doing an old timer!” Steiner reacts badly, pulling the chain mail off his head and stepping in the face of Cena. “Scotty…….chill. By the way, when the show is over King Arthur said could he have his chain mail back!” “You want me to break you boy….because I would be glad to take me fist and ram it down your throat!” Cena steps back. “What’s with the hostility? Look all joking aside, I came out here to witness in person you signing your contract….what with the fact that I played a big part in you getting it…..and my name is in there. So just get on like I wasn’t here.” Steiner mouths some abuse to Cena before turning and signing the contract. He then shoves the contract into Coach’s hands and turns back to Cena. “Scotty…..let me be the first to welcome you to Infest.” With that he offers his hand, but Steiner just ignores it and pumps his muscles while mouthing off again. “Hey if you don’t want to shake it that’s fine, I can deal.” Cena then turns and starts to leave when he stops and steps back through the ropes. “Oh, there was one more thing I came out here to tell you…..” Suddenly he connects with a hard right that rocks Steiner, followed by another. He rocks Steiner onto the ropes, but Steiner comes back with some of his own that cause Cena to stumble back. Steiner then whips Cena off into the ropes, but Cena comes back with a shoulder block that knocks Steiner to the mat. Cena then goes on the offensive, as a hoard of security come down to the ring, pulling Cena off. They then pull Steiner to his feet, and Steiner tries to get to Cena before more security intervene. Both men struggle against the security trying to get each other, but are eventually pulled apart as Shane orders them to be taken to the back.

We are then reminded that the next time UCW is live on PPV Is Sunday 14^th October as Meltdown and Infest combine to bring you Doomsday.

This is then followed by a reminder that later on tonight the World Heavyweight Champion Edge will host the Cutting edge, with special guest the ‘War Machine’ Rhino.

Backstage we then see Christy Hemme standing with ‘Wildcat’ Chris Harris. “Chris, last week you issued a challenge for a rematch to your former partner James Storm, and he told you he would think of a stipulation. Then earlier on tonight he told you that he had chosen a Texas Bull Rope Match. But what is your answer?” “My answer? That is pretty simple Christy. You see when I issued that challenege, It didn’t matter what type of match it would be, just as long as I could get my hands on Storm once more. That hasn’t changed, so as far as my answer goes…….I accept. And just to let you know Storm, I don’t care when it is, be it at Doomsday, next week or even in five minutes time. You will get what is coming to you, and it has nothing to do with anyone’s damn luck. You see despite your despisal of our past, you like to cling to it still. So here is a blast from the past for you Storm. For the past three months you have been at the top of my most wanted list…….and it is time I erased you from that list.” With that Harris makes his exit.

With both men in the ring, AJ dangles the X Division Championship in front of Sonjay and then embraces it, before Rudy Charles takes it off him. The match then starts off very fast paced, with both men locking up only for Sonjay to take AJ down with several rapid fire arm drags and then a drop kick that surprise the champion. AJ continues to underestimate his oppoenet, who is by far the quickest member of the Infest roster. Dutt pulls out a number of lightning quick moves that keep AJ guessing, until AJ pulls out one of his tricks. As Dutt heads to the top rope, AJ pulls himself up via Rudy Charles and pushes the official into the ropes, causing Dutt to straddle the turnbuckle. AJ then starts to take control of the match, showing why he still holds the X Division Championship. The action then eventually becomes back and forth, with both men picking up near falls. Dutt then attempts the Hindu Driver, but AJ counters out and connects with the Pele. AJ then attempts the springboard reverse DDT, but Dutt counters out and drops AJ to the mat with a modified version of a stunner. Eventually Dutt climbs the turnbuckel and as AJ gets to his feet, Dutt attempts a head scissors take down. But AJ uses his strength to stay on his feet, holding onto Dutt and positioning him for the Styles Clash. But Dutt wriggles free, dropping to the mat and rolling AJ up, catching the champion by surprise. And the surprise element is enough for Dutt to pick up the free count for the victory. And as AJ looks on in horror, Dutt has his hand raised in celebration. AJ is then quick to roll to the outside, grabbing his championship and clutching it tight, relieved it wasn’t on the line.

Backstage we then see Jonathan Coachman knock on the General Managers door and enter. As he walks in, we see Shane McMahon watching the monitor with Dutt celebrating. “You asked to see me boss? Is it about Scott Steiner and John Cena, because I got rid of them both Mr McMahon.” “No it’s not Coach, but thanks. I called you here because I have sme announcements that I want you to pass on. Now both men want it, so I am going to make it, James Storm versus Chris Harris, Texas Bull Rope match. And it will take place in two weeks time live right here in our Main Event on Infest….now that is ratings guaranteed. Plus tomorrow could you ring Scott Steiner and tell him that now he is a contracted superstar I expect him to wrestle, and his in ring debut you be next week. Oh a….” But before he can continue there is a knock at the door, before it then opens and Jay Lehtal enters. “Jay, what can I do for you?” “Mr McMahon, I’m sure you know as well as anyone that at Revolution I did not lose to AJ in my X Division Championship shot. And after what he done to Jerry last week, I want to prove to everyone that I am the one to liberate the X Division Championship. So I am asking for a rematch at Doomsday.” “Jay, had this been an hour ago then I would have made it. I understand where you are coming from, you certainly gave AJ a run for his money and you didn’t lose. The whole Lynn business was unfortunate. But Sonjay Dutt just beat AJ one on one, and by that principal he becomes the Number 1 Contender at Doomsday. But don’t worry, I will keep you in mind when it comes to Devils Night…..but that is the best I can do right now.” Frustrated, Lethal walks out and slams the door behind him.

We then rejoin Mike Tenay and JBL at ringside. “Well folks, we told you that you couldn’t afford to miss a minute tonight…and we weren’t wrong. How about that announcement we just heard. Following his fantastic victory here tonight, at Doomsday it will be AJ Styles defending his X Division Championship against Sonjay Dutt.” “It makes me sick Tenay. AJ had Dutt beat and he stole it. He doesn’t deserve the chance. AJ ashouldn’t have had to wrestle two weeks running, it’s discrimination against the champion.” “Don’t even get me started John. Plus we also heard another announcement, and how is this for a blocbuster Infest main event. In two weeks time it will be ‘Cowboy’ James Storm versus ‘Wildcat’ Chris Harris….Texas Bull Rope match! And I am getting word that CM Punk, following his defeat to Carlito today has issued a challenge for a deciding match at Doomsday, but Carlito has said no.” “And so he should. Carlito has nothing to prove. He beat Punk tonight, and that settles it.” “John, if you are satisfied with stealing undeserved wins then that is your perrogative, but that’s not how a lot of people work here on Infest. Plus folks I can tell that next week we will have the in ring debut of Scott Steiner, and following the explosive contract signing….that is a possibility be very explosive!” “And Tenay, in case you weren’t p[aying attention, Robert Roode will be here next week and by the sounds of it, he has got something on his mind.” “How can I forget? I sit next to his financial adviser. But enough of us folks, because it is time for the Cutting Edge!”

‘YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME!’ The arena then erupts into boo’s as World Heavyweight Champion Edge makes his way out onto the stage, holding the Championship high above his head to an explosion of pyro takes place behind him. He then makes his way down to the ring which is laid out with the Rated R Superstar logo on the mat and two classy chairs sitting facing each other. As Edge enters he picks up the mic before adjusting the Championship proudly sitting on his shoulder. “Tonight….I once again bring you my Cutting Edge. And it is on this show that like the Rated R Superstar that I am….I hold no punches as I get to the bottom of an issue. The issue I bring to you tonight is one that is very close to me personally…..but before I speak anymore…let me bring out my guest…..my good old buddy…Rhino!!”

‘WAR!’ The music then hits and the crowd cheer as Rhino appears on the stage, pounding his chest before charging down to the ring, as he enters he gets to his feet and picks up the spare mic. “Rhino, I would like to extend a welcome…but I’m not sure how warm it would be. You see the last time I checked we were friends…good buddies. Yet last week there you were….attacking me while my back was turned. It seems that gold really does change people huh. But you have got it all wrong Rhino. You shouldn’t be carrying out sneak attacks. Should be honoured to have the opportunity to step in the ring with me. You should be honoured to be able to call me a friend.” “Honoured? Let me tell you this Edge, the man I Gored last week was not the same man that I grew up in this business with. The man that stands before me right now is not the man I grew up in this business with. Just look at you….at what you have become. Do you remember all those ngiths we spent sleeping on the floor of a freezing cold barn just to earn 20 bucks? Do you remember driving across a frozen lake and nearly falling through? DO you remember Sexton Hardcastle? How about all those run down hotels and long distance road trips just so we could get five minutes in the ring? I remember those Edge…..because I was there with you. But the man that stood by my side back then as my friend…he has gone. And in his place is you…the power hungry self obsessed piece of trash that you are!” “Hold on one second there Rhino. Before you go around spouting anymore accusations, how about I take you on a trip down memory lane. Who was there for you when you smashed a hotel plant and were about to lose your job? Me. Who was there for you carrying you out of the bars because you didn’t no when to stop? Me. Who was picking your wife and baby daughter up from the hospital because you were too drunk to drive? Me. That’s right Rhino….I was there for through all the bad times. No matter what you did I didn’t leave your side. So who has done the betrayal here Rhino? Just because I have changed….and for the better I may add…you no longer want to be my friend? You make me sick. But I understand the real reason. Its jealousy. I can see it in your eyes. You are jealous because while you scraped the bottom of the barrell I had a hot women like Lita on my arm. You are jealous because in my hand I hold the World Heavyweight Championship, while all you managed was five minutes of keeping a belt warm for someone else. You are jealous because despite it all…I am just plain better then you.” “You are right about one thing….you are the World Heavyweight Champion. But look around you Edge….look at the price you have had to pay to get it. Where are all your friends Edge? Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Lita, Christian? They have all gone Edge….you are alone.” “I don’t care…because I have all I need. I am the World Heavyweight Champion and that is just pure fact. So if you don’t want to be my friend…then the very least you can do is show me some respect as your champion!” “Edge…how about I show you my boot….up your ass!” With that Edge slaps Rhino round the face. Rhino rubs his chin and then urges Edge to do it again. Edge thinks about it, then slaps Rhino once more. Rhino then fires back with a hard right that rock sEdge, swiftly followed by several more that knock him to hi ass. Then as Edge tries to stumble up, Rhino takes him down with a hard clothesline. Rhino then grabs the hair of Edge as he tries to crawl away and pulls him back, before positioning him for the Rhino Driver. But Edge drops to one knee asnd delivers low blow that buckles Rhino to the mat. Edge then gets to his feet and crouches in the corner, and as Rhino gets up, Edge takes him down with a Spear. Edge then rolls out of the ring and glares out into the crowd, before picking up a chair and tossing it into the ring. He then picks up a second chair and takes it into the ring himself. Then, as Rhino struggles to pull himself up, Edge crashes the chair over his head, busting Rhino open. Loud jeers surround the arena, but the champion isn’t done. He then pulls Rhino so his head is laying on one chair, before picking up the other. Then raising it high above his head, we hear Tenay pleading for him to change his mind, but the Champion is intent as he delivers a one man conchairto. The show then goes off the air with Edge standing over the prone bleeding boyd of Rhino, as he holds the championship high.
